Good hotel, clean, nice facilities, pool, spacious room and kitchenette, towels you have to order at the reception, pack to spend the night and go to know, it is in a busy street if you like the silence this is not for you, the church is next door, after the park where the letters of guayabitos are found and hold musical group events on Saturdays, I recommend it yes but the noise is excessive...

Horrible service they said they wash and dry out clothes and went to ask and immediately said no why bother offering that service if you won’t do it and another thing they did is that one of the staff went into are room and stole something and the other room wouldn’t stay here again

Don Pepe hotel

Very nice hotel, simple, cheap, but has everything to spend a pleasant stay. only the reception girls are a little messed up and don't provide good service, but apart from that everything is excellent!!

Economics, Bonitas and other facilities.

We spent two weeks and enjoyed our visit immensely. Room was clean and we don't mind the hard Mexican beds but the room configuration was awkward. Staff is lovely. Other guests are very friendly and the location in Guaybitos is perfect. We will return but hope not get rooms 206 or 306. 

Returning in 2018

This is a minimalist place to go and you can find better places on the beach for the same cost.  This hotel is right on the main street where cars and trucks with very loud speakers drive up and down the street advertising their products.  One truck contained a live caged tiger and it went up and down the street for hours inviting everyone to go to the circus in town.  The beds are very old in this resort and very hard.  Bring your own pillow as the ones provided are neck wreckers.

If it is cheap - sometimes the reason becomes clear after arrival

I was very happy with my stay at Don Pepe. I only stayed for one week, but I could easily have stayed longer. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room and hotel area  was very clean. The room was quite big for only one person. Only two minutes walk to the beach.

Excellent service

We stayed here for a week, and really enjoyed the quiet, comfy rooms with kitchens. Nice not to have to go out to eat every time. All necessities for basic cooking are provided, and if anything is missing, just ask! A coffee maker would have been nice, but I settled for instant. Nice shower/water pressure, nice linens, though the beds are firm, like most in Mexico. We actually had to ask for blankets, as it cooled off nicely in the wee hours of the morning! They were soft, and smelled fresh and clean. Not all staff spoke English, but all were friendly and helpful. Maintenance and handyman Jose was especially appreciated for his very prompt services! We got a cab arranged to take us to Chacala for the day, then pick us up again later, all for a very reasonable price compared to what others were asking. Actually only a few dollars more than if we had taken buses and collectives! Very nicely located on the main drag, two blocks to the beach, and maybe 4 to the Pemex station on the highway where you can get dropped by, or catch the bus to Tepic or Puerto Vallarta. This hotel has stuff planned almost every night like games, cards, movie night etc. There is a large communal gathering area in the back around the very nicely kept pool, with loungers, umbrellas, tables, a covered area with a library and big led tv, as well as a small parking lot if you drove in. Lots of Retired Canadians here to spend a few months, so book well in advance if you want to be sure of a room.We had no problems the first couple weeks of Jan. Though. Great value for 500p based on weekly rental! Monthly even cheaper. A great bet if in Rincon, and at the other end of the Main Street their sister hotel, Margaritas, has rooms with no kitchens, but breakfast included for even cheaper.

Very comfortable rooms

Colonial style I like.The pool is located near the room so it's very convenient to go swimming at any time of the stay.It's interesting to go for a walk with the family, having a complete gym is very rewarding.
