Nice rooms with AC and Fan. Rooms were clean and comfortable, quiet and close to the water. The lobby area/common area was kitchy and nice place to chill. They don't have brekky but there are options close by. Good option for your trip to Rio Lagartos

Comfortable and Clean

We made the Check In a little bit late (7 or 8 pm) and everything was very quiet, perfect for relaxing. The hotel is small and at the same time is comfortable. They offer a free coffee and te 24/7. 

The room has everything will you probably need on your trip (new towel, organic honey shampoo -soap and the mattress was great). 

We are very thankful with The receptionist lady, because she was very helpful and she was able the scheduling our tour. She explained us the activities that we can do. 

A few steps by the hotel it’s the square, you will see some children playing and having fun. Of course you will find Mexican tacos (the salsa is very spicy, that means delicious). 

The town is super friendly, everyone try to help you and Rio Lagartos is very safe all day. 

Great experience 

Only stayed for one night. The room was clean and comfortable. The room also had windows facing inwards to the internal common areas - the noise does travel from reception, which was a bit disturbing when trying to sleep.
The location is good, walking distance from the waterfront, restaurants and the local store.

Comfortable and Central

A great spot - central in town - a couple blocks from the waterfront on three sides! Our room even had a view of the lagoon where we could see fantastic sunsets. The bed in the room was a very generous size, and shampoo, towels and other basics were provided. The air conditioning worked well, although the open air vent in our bathroom was not able to be shut - which meant we couldn’t control the temperature in that space. The staff were very helpful, and with our limited Spanish we managed basic communication. Would definitely stay here again.

Central, cheap and comfortable 

I have to admit I was a little put off when we checked in, the lobby area was hot and stagnant and the room seemed very basic.  But the air conditioner in the room worked very well, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.  We were only there for one night, we got a good nights sleep and it was an inexpensive place to stay.  So overall I was pleased with the hotel.

Nothing Fancy, But Comfortable.

Nice hotel, fairly clean and comfy beds.
It's close to the malecon and you can walk there to find tours (cheaper than the ones offered by the hotel). Only issue is that the have a Zuma class with loud music just outside the hotel starting at 7am - don't expect to be sleeping in! 

Nice hotel

The hotel is a very good location if you want to do a boat trip of the mangroves and see all the wild life there, it is also only 20 minutes drive from Las Coloradas salt lakes. Once there you can walk to all the little restaurants for food (although please note that there are only a few there), so you don't need to drive within the village itself. The hotel itself is VERY rustic, but to be fair the bathrooms and sheets were clean, which is all you need when you are on an outdoor adventure weekend. They offer soap and shampoo in the hotel too and have free coffee. They also have a small seating area with games and the family enjoyed that at night, as after 9pm there really is nothing to do in the village.

If you are a person that has dietary needs you should bring food with you that you can eat, as there is very little choice besides fish. There was very loud music in the village until 7am so it was hard to sleep at the weekend there, must be their party time or perhaps this is normal in small Mexican villages. The hotel is very basic, but as I said, it's clean. They also have a small private car park very near to the hotel, so you car is safe at night if you are driving there.
