The bed was very mediocre, didn't sleep the greatest. The bathroom was so tiny that we could not close the shower door to take a shower, had to shower with the door open. They had some bigger rooms that were already booked, hopefully those people had bigger bathrooms. The parking is around the block and not accessible through the hotel. After one night we found something much better for almost the same price.

We got a tiny room and mediocre bed

We spent one night here, it is about 4 blocks from the "centro histórico", which was perfect for us. The building is beautiful and the staff was super friendly. There are two things that made this a 4 star review and not a 5 star review:
1. The showers are pretty weak, so it took some time to get clean
2. There is no heating or air conditioning in the rooms (thank God for extra blankets)

Beautiful Space!

I went for a 5 week holiday to Mexico to different cities and hotels, and staying here was the lowest point of my trip. To begin with, when I arrived they didn't have my reservation. Then, at 7 am after a 12 hour bus trip, they told me they only accepted cash. I was lucky enough to have enough for a 4 day reservation, but they didn't warn me before... If I had to go back to the ATM I would have been really pissed off. After paying with cash, they didn't have 10 pesos to give me back my change, and they asked me to come later. I asked every day I was there for my change, and they never had it..... so unprofessional, and more if you only accept cash. 
-Hot water was barely hot, and the shower was barely spraying water.
-You had to hand your key to reception every time you left, just like any second rate hostel. 
-You can hear every noise outside the room, including the reception people talking after hours.
-Room was very cold and dark
I wish I had seen the bad reviews from this site, and it seems that they haven't done much to improve their service, since the earliest reviews. Expect the same...

If you want to enjoy San Cristobal, don't stay here!!

I splurged a bit to stay at this place since I was hoping for some quiet time and a good hot shower. I got neither. There was no hot water, the WIFI did not work and the reception started playing techno music at 7 AM. The noise echoed all through the courtyard and it was pretty obnoxious. Sadly when I complained about the hot water and WIFI (and the techno) the staff did seem the least bit concerned. I would have spent 5 days there but instead I left after 1 night since it was just ludicrous to pay so much for so little. *The hotel looks decent and I got lured in by the photos. Don;t be fooled.

Not good value for money and not tranquil

This hotel helped us to make our trip to San Cristobal more special. Location is exactly in the middle between the bus station and the city center. Walking distance up to 2 minutes. If you will stay here do not forget to take a massage, it is great! Everything was perfect there...
