Amazing hostel, centrally located right near the market and in the heart of San Cristobal. Full of great guests and volunteers so easy to get along with who quickly feel like a family - it’s the perfect place to chill but there’s always events, activities and outings on if you feel like exploring. They have a perfect rooftop deck for yoga or a sunset beer. Everyone is always cooking together, sharing drinks and playing games. It’s the type of place where people just keep extending their stay. It already feels like home and I can’t wait to come back!

Amazing social hostel, good vibes, friendly community

I loved this hostal so much! Perfect location! And the hostal itself is a really pretty place to hang out with lots of outside spaces. The staff here ad the people here were so friendly and super chilled. This has been my favourite hostal yet in Mexico, I stayed way longer than I was expecting

This hostel has amazing magic in there. The Kind of magic that I ended up staying there more than a month!! Be aware! Common areas are nice, has a rooftop with a good view over the city next to the main market and few hundred meters from the centro. But I mainly stayed because of the voulenteers and people that I was beautifully stuck there with. 
All the voulenteers: Karina, Belen, Flor and Miguel were so nice and made everyone feel like home.
So many memories were made there.

Only thing I felt was missing from a good hostel was a blender.

Best hostel experience I’ve had

Super friendly hostel in San Cris, great location near lots of fab cafes and local cultural centres. Feels very safe and welcoming, especially for solo female travellers. The type of hostel where people stay longer than they expected and come back again if they can. 

Warm and welcoming hostel in the heart of San Cris!

Nice and small hostel with a family atmosphere. The volunteers are very friendly and they always have fun ideas such as movie, pizza or potluck nights. I'll warmly recommend to stay at this hostel even for a long period of time.

My time in Iguana was really fun, the hostel is by far the best one I have stayed at in Mexico with a really nice rooftop overlooking the city. The vibe is super chill and the volunteers are really great, they organised many pizza and movie nights. Highly recommend this hostel, many happy memories here.

Perfect hostel with great vibes

I enjoyed my time at Iguana Hostel. It was a wonderful place to relax and focus on playing music while soaking in the vibes of San Cristobal. It seemed to attract a chill kind of guest for the most part and so I made a lot for friends and lived comfortably while there.

Good Times in San Cris

The best hostel in Chiapas. I stay 4night and it was amazing. The staff is incredible and a very nice ambiance. I recommend this hostel for everybody. The place is very clean and there is a good terrace.

Amazing

This hostel is situated outside the busy/loud center of San Cristobal and has a AWESOME rooftop to relax, read, exercise, sun bath, eat and much more. 

Reaaallly cheap. 120pesos per night in dormitorio and the team is really funny and helpfull. 

I stayed here for more than 2 weeks and everyday I went on the rooftop to catch the sun in the morning. 

Truly recommended :)

ROOFTOP  nice location hostel

Best Hostel around San Cristobal de Las Casas. An amazing location and surrounding area. This is the base camp for visit the old town. 
San Cristobal de las Casas is quit chilly. Ait is run by a family and it has a lot of details they put a lot of good energy
