This is a great place if you can get a good deal on it, but if you're paying more than $100 you have to ask yourself to you want to stay in a nice comfortable place, or do you just want a unique space.

The location is awesome, it's great to get to town, to get anywhere you need to go. The breakfast is great too, they're very nice and they serve great food.

The rooms are old and awkward. While they've tried, you have to ask yourself is this really what you want. It might be, because it's a special unique place unto itself, but it's not a modern hotel.

Charming, but so old

We loved this place.  It is in a fabulous location, right across the street from the most wonderful park in San Miguel.  The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are marvelous, and the staff is very attentive.  And Rocky, the resident dog, is very sweet. I can truly say that we will return to Casa del Parque.  You will really feel at home in this place.

Fabulous Place

Our group of 4 were out just wandering around SMA, visiting the Rosewood and doing some shopping when we walked into Casa del Parque.  We had no idea that it was a B & B and while the "waiter" looked at us oddly when we asked if might order a drink he obliged quite nicely!  It wasn't until we sat down in the beautiful courtyard, had our drinks and a FREE snack that we realized we were actually invading the B & B!  They could not have been nicer to us and  we had a couple of very fine glasses of wine and a very pleasant hour resting there.  Kudo's to them for hosting us!

Served Us Drinks - Even Though We Weren't Guests!

My wife and I stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Our room was very comfortable and left nothing to be desired. Breakfasts were great. The owners and staff were all delightful. (And Rokke too!!) Our favorite part of the stay was the serenity of the garden. Our vacation to Mexico was a relaxing get-away and the Casa del Parque was a fantastic choice!

Charming, pleasant, relaxing 

At the edge of the park and a 15 minute walk to town, this is a pleasant, clean, friendly and comfortable B&B with an English speaking owner (but the rest of the staff- no English).

Fresh OJ and French pressed coffee in the morning with a good choice of breakfasts, but they could give you a better variety of fruit.

If they want more spoiled American tourists (like me), they will need to arrange for real heat (as opposed to space heaters) in the winter and A/C or ceiling fans in the summer.  Pretty common in San Miguel not to have either- but this is too upscale  to have none (Hence 4 stars not 5).  

No kids policy is great for those who want a quiet, adult atmosphere.

Prices are on the high side, but the rooms are spacious with nice bathrooms- and the upstairs rooms have magnificent private patios. A great choice away from the bustle of downtown, but a pleasant walk.
