We had a lovely 2 bedroom unit with the most amazing views! Comfy beds, daily maid service, super friendly staff and a wonderful pool to cool off in. Full kitchen, full size coffee maker, with the basics for equipment.  Great location; close to Centro and right over La Madera beach.

Loved it here!

This beautiful small boutique like hotel is a perfect place to stay. This was my first trip to Zihuatanejo and I’m so happy I was recommended to this hotel. It’s right above Madera Beach. You can walk along the new beautiful boardwalk all the way to the marina, with excellent restaurants and coffee shops along the way. To do banking or shopping it’s a 5-10 minute walk. In the other direction it’s a 10-15 minute walk to Playa la Ropa which is an amazing white sand beach. 
The hotel is very well kept, clean and the staff are exceptional to say the least.  For a week or in my case one month, it’s become my home away from home and I highly recommend this beautiful Hotel.

We spent a great week at La Quinta de Don Andres, a small boutique hotel near the end of La Madera)

We were on the 4th floor (stairs) in suite #12, which is their "penthouse". It's a 1 bedroom (comfy king bed, closet, dresser, TV) with 3/4 bath - with great AC, if needed. And it has an outdoor kitchen, dining area, seating area and a HUGE open patio with amazing views of the bay! Great through-breeze all day and night!

The staff was attentive and helpful (Thanks, Gustavo & Esteban) 
Note: no restaurant or bar on-site. 

Easy walk via the street to La Madera or Calle Adelita (great street of wonderful restaurant options), or take the stairs in front of the property to La Madera to the new walkway toward Centro. More great restaurant options on the beach and along the walkway.

The pool area & surrounding patio is smaller, but still beautiful, and was never too busy to feel full or overwhelming. There is a nice sunning patio in front of the hotel (used to be their restaurant), which offers a quieter space away from the pool, and is great for viewing the sunsets as well.

We are booked again for April/May 2020, so that should tell you all you need to know!

Lovely gem on La Madera!

This hotel is just perfect. My husband and I came to Zihuatanejo for an 8 day visit to celebrate our anniversary. 
We had done a lot of research on where to stay...and this charming hotel satisfied all our needs. Great location, clean rooms and grounds, and a very helpful staff (Esteban is the Best). This was our first visit to Beautiful "Zihua"...but it won't be our last! We are already planning our next visit and "La Quinta de Don Andres" is where we will be staying. 

100% Satisfied 

Stayed here for 10 days at the beginning of Feb. Perfect Location, short walk to downtown too awesome dining and too the markets. First time trying a NOT all inclusive and I don't think I will go back to all inclusive for a bit. Already planning on going back next February to this great hotel. Go and You will not be disappointed.

AWESOME LITTLE GEM !!!

This Christmas week was our 6th stay here. The condition of the property remains impressive...spotlessly clean both in the rooms and on site. The staff is welcoming and friendly, ready to help in any way they can to make our stay in the area pleasant. We particularly like the location...both the central area of Zihuatanejo and La Ropa beach are within walking distance. The views especially in the evening are stunning. We liked having the option to cook lite meals here...a fridge, cooktop and micowave are in the room. It is hard to find anything to criticize here!

Wonderful small hotel in ideal location

well this review will be a dual one,first a few words about the property itself; this is actually my third time to this hotel and the standard is still # 1.very clean, mostly quiet (as i like it) and the staff quite accommodating  which bring me to the second part of this review,THE STAFF : Last year when we stayed there we brought a few substantial gifts for the two office personnel and three house cleaners/maintenance man plus monetary tips. these were received and only one of the office personnel really said thank you or gracious, they just smiled.
We decided this year that we would not bring any gifts but at the last minute we relented and brought gifts for the two cleaners in addition to monies for each (over $100.00 pesos each), again no thank you just a smile, we are blown away with this attitude of entitlement,we know that they speak a small amount of english so its not a language thing. I am honestly hoping they will see this post and do better next time, sad to say the next time we stay there we will not bring gifts.

Again the hotel is a gem and the owners that visited the same time we were there are just great people.
Shout out to Gustavo (one of the new staff in the office) very pleasant and professional .

EXCELLENT

We spent the first 5 nights of our Zihua trip at La Quinta Don Andres and could not be happier. The location cannot be beat...easy walk to all restaurants, downtown area, and nearby Playa La Ropa. It is situated just above Playa Madera and most rooms have a view of the beach and Zihua Bay. If you are looking to explore all that Zihua has to offer this is a great spot to stay! Comfortable quaint room kept up well with AC, a nice large King bed and a patio with a view of Playa Madera. While the room had no major frills, it had all the necessities and made a great basecamp to get out and explore!

This is a wonderful little hotel off “the beaten path”. It is right above Madera beach so the sounds of the ocean are the most noise you hear....no traffic to speak of. Very close to Calle Adelita and many wonderful restaurants. It is very clean and well maintained.

Great stay

The hotel is located in the Madera Beach neighborhood which is quaint, relatively peaceful, and convenient to restaurants and to the center of town (about a 20 minute walk if you are so inclined). The hotel itself has a great restaurant (Boca) with an incredible ocean, mountain, and twinkling lights town view.  It is open only for dinner. The beach is small and uncrowded. There are a lot of steps down to the beach from the hotel and there are no lounge chairs but we found out you can rent a table and chairs for about 50 pesos. There are 2 restaurants on the beach. We ate lunch at one of them and it was quite good. Massage is available on the beach as well. The rooms are tasteful and clean.  There is no elevator so one must climb steps to reach the upper floors. The Wifi is rather poor in the rooms. What is most outstanding about this hotel is the service. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially Armando. They speak English BTW. The pool is large and well tended. The landscaping is lovely. There are lounge chairs all around the pool and there is an especially sweet spot on the terrace with a view of the ocean and the sound of the surf under a gently swaying palm tree. We have stayed in the La Ropa Beach area and found this neighborhood quieter and more walkable. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
