I am giving 1 star because I cannot give zero or negative. The staff does not speak english, are not empowered at all to solve problems. Challenging to find an air conditioner remote control with batteries. Once on, impossible to adjust to a decent temperature. 

The worse experience when opened my bed and found food leftovers in the bedsheets: corn, peanuts, breadcrumbs. Extremely disgusting. 

Someone tried to open my door at 1am. I got freaked out!!

Mosquitos in the room and spiders in the bathroom. 

Hotel doors closes at night. Be prepared to stand out in front and wait for a person to open. 

Poor and cold breakfast.

Stay away from this nasty hotel

Worst hotel i ever been. Breakfeast 5 days in a row  was the same,very poor and bad quality, small rooms and not clean with cockroaces, bathrooms even smaller  and you cannot turn around to wash your face, and the personel with not a very good attitude.

Worst hotel ever

This was the only hotel in Moldova in which we’ve stayed during our trip, therefore it is hard for me to compare whether this was a unique setting or a norm for this country. Here are some crucial pros and cons from our perspective:

(+) wifi was working quite well (although we had to restart router few times)
(+) room was pretty clean (however we’ve had it cleaned only once during our 3-nights-stay)
(+) location was pretty nice – close to the centre with shops and restaurants nearby 
(+) there was a parking space available (well, maybe not quite parking-parking but a space on a sidewalk in front of the hotel)

(-) breakfast were the worst part of our stay – everyday exactly the same set and none of it was tasty (well, maybe the hard-boiled eggs were fine)
(-) staff was pretty unfriendly (except for 1 person)
(-) during the check-out we were told that the terminal is not working and we have to pay in cash in local currency
(-) upon our arrival we’ve reported that TV in our room was broken – it was supposed to be fixed but it never happened
(-) room wasn’t ready upon our arrival – it was available (as we were the only hotel guests during this time) but towels as well as bedding was missing and we’ve had to ask for it

Somewhat happy, somewhat not

I stayed at the Stella recently for the Wales v Moldova soccer match. I thought the hotel was clean, and comfortable. Previous reviewers have said it is difficult getting access once the front door is locked; this was not the case during my visit. We arrived at 6.25am after a night flight from London. Luckily our rooms were available and we had instant access to them at a standard 50% surcharge.
Plenty of hot water. 
Another reviewer has written that the hotel couldn't arrange a taxi to the airport. Again I found the reception staff very helpful and they arranged several taxis for us. Breakfast is basic but adequate. 
For the money, I think the Stella is ideal and I would recommend it.

Nice hotel

stay away at any cost !. this small hotel should offer a bed and minimal services. it doesnt. it is not heated in the winter which is very unpleasant at this time of the year. the staff looks dumbfold when asked even the most basic questions and they all seemed to have started working yesterday,, they were unable to book me a taxi to the airport ! food is terrible  at breakfast, they recycle the boiled eggs from the last day. they have a small choice of expensive wine at the bar and a  very limited eating place for breakfast. In the morning rush where there is more than 4 people eating , the fifth has to eat at the reception.
