The host is the most welcoming and friendly person! We stayed 2 days and it was memorable. Beautiful lake, beautiful place, offers a boat tour, self made alcohol, delicious dinner. The bed is a bit old but confortable enough. The atmosphere in the evening is exceptional with the lamps, the lake and a glass of wine. Paradise on earth. It's truly a hidden gem in Montenegro

It was an amazing experience. Lovely atmosphere, quiet piece of nature, just bird melody and soun of nature. Truly worth to visit and explore a real example of old Montenegro,when Skadar Lake and all areas around were very important because of boat transport and fishing experience which domestic people learned from past generations. Kindly hospitality of family Sugar, fresh fish, delicious vine, cheese and boat tour with story about past times. Free sunbeds. Thank you for great experience!

We were here as part of our tour of Montenegro (Skadar - Ulcinj - Kotor - Durmitor).The location is wonderful, the hosts are warm and prepare the best meals at any time of the day, they also organize boat trips at a very fair and good price.

That's perfect.

There was no sign and it took us a while to find an apartment, we had to ask the locals several times. But when we arrived, we were welcomed by the fantastic gentle host with some homemade rakija. We stayed here for three nights, took a boat ride on the lake which was fantastic experience and a great way to see the surrounding landscape and explored some the neighbouring villages by car (without a car you have no chance to explore the surroundings). The room was OK, but anyway most of the time we spent outside. Breakfast and dinner prepared by the home lady were excellent. For those looking for peace and quiet in a remote location away from tourists amidst the picturesque landscape is Karuč the right place. Location is simply amazing. Here one feels like in paradise or another world. What's more, the host and his family are doing everything to make you feel good, like part of them.

Relax in paradise

Karuc Apartments is a peaceful spot. The owner is very friendly, and we felt very welcome. This is the place to visit if you like to get away from hustle and bustle, and just enjoy quietness and beautiful nature. The roads are not to good so I will recommend to travel there by daytime. It's worth while a visit.

A room with a view

Located in a beautiful bay on the Skadar Sea, with very friendly family support. The nature experience begins on the terrace: you can watch the birds, swim in the warm seawater or the cold fountain basins. There is a great variety of bird species, which are also rare in Europe, such as watching the icebird hunting from the terrace. Overall, an incredibly relaxing corner of Montenegro. Tip: bring a kayak or canoe to explore the surroundings.

Relaxing in the middle of the national park

You'll have to challenge a bumpy narrow road to get there, but once you're there it is really much better than a visit to Virpazar. Magnificent views over a secluded corner of the Skadar lake. Darko is receiving you as a friend, you'll get home-made rakija and wine, pomegranate juice, delicious fish fresh from the lake, a boat tour can be organized.

The ultimate Skadar lake experience

After a long drive through the mountains, Karuc apartment looks like a mirage. The place lies on a splendid lake, full of a rich (and.. melodious!) fauna. You will be welcomed by the owners, who will give you maps and ideas for splendid boat-trips. Well, first he will allow you to recover from the heat with some delicious -careful, it's strong- liquor and pomegranate juice. 
Allow yourself to dine at Karuc apartment - the owner's wife will prepare river fish soup and fried fish with vegetables for a very reasonable price. The place is also historically full of surprises, as the owner will reveal you if you ask about the reasons why he decided to move from Podgorica to Karuc and transform his grandfather's property into a touristic facility.

Fable-like Montenegro

Located by the lake in an environment preserved for mass tourism. The family that welcomes us is charming. The apartment allows for independence (individual entrance and terrace). The breakfast, offered and unimposed is excellent. The site is magical, but you must love the calm and isolation. The hotties are extremely warm and work as a family. A little difficult to find, but what makes it charming! Excellent price ratio. Provide anti-mosquito lotion.... indispensable....
