The Apartments Wine House are in Old Town, Kotor, near the North Gate. The entry to the apartments is actually in the 6th narrowest street in Europe. 
The host Antonio was very good, he communicated well through booking.com and was easy to deal with in person, he spoke excellent English. 
The room was very good, it was; clean, well presented, it had a fridge, aircon, sink, kettle, and a small kitchen. The bathroom was small and a little cramped. The location is near bars and restaurants, but I had no problems with noise in my room. 
Overall a great, well priced, place to stay in Kotor.

Lovely apartment in Old Town

This house was built in the 12th Century as a wine and olive oil warehouse.
Truly amazing to live with so much history around us. Fascinating.

Located in Old Town Kotor, this is a really gorgeous little Hotel, with yet another close bathroom quarters, could prove interesting finding room for the knees once again on the loo 🤣

Kotor is bit of a cross between Dubrovnik and Venice, beautiful little alleyways with lots of marble walkways and eating plazas. Getting more than our fair share of Gelato in !!

Studio with Balcony

Firstly, I need to say that Antonio such a sweet guy and makes you feel very welcomed. A great host!

The apartment itself is beautiful, just a bit dark. But hey, you are in the middle of the old town with its narrow cobbled streets, which is also the beauty of Kotor. 

I didn't use the kitchenette, but it's useful to have in case you want to cook your own meal once or twice.

The bathroom is small, but it was ok for me.

I would definitely recommend this property.

The room is very well decorated and there’s even a small kitchen in it with a stove and a sink, besides the frigobar. Location is just perfect, in the very heart of the old town. Antonio, our recepcionist was very nice and attentive and helped us book a taxi to go Bileca and gave us tips on where to eat.
Não curtiu  · The bathroom is so small that the privy is almost inside the shower. To get out of the shower one has literally to step over the privy. Internet was also an issue. We stayed for two days and it was unavailable for 1,5 days. We had to go to the window and position our cells just so as to get a faint signal from the nearest B&B. We were also not provided with a Map or explanations on the main attractions.

Great Room but no Internet for 2 days

We stayed here for 3 nights and booked a double room with with a balcony (some of their rooms do not have a balcony). 

Before arrival, I was in touch with Laura to confirm our arrival time. I booked through Booking.com and so we exchanged numbers and were able to use WhatsApp easily. 

We arrived into Tivat airport which is about 7km from Kotor and Laura arranged for a taxi to meet us from our flight (it was no more expensive doing it this way).   The taxi driver was there to meet us and then took us to Tabacina/north gate entrance to the old town. From there is about a 3 min walk to apartment. You will see the wine bar and then the entrance to the wine house apartment is the first right lane after the wine bar and first door on right. Taxi cost 15 euros which we confirmed with the driver before setting off from Tivat airport. It was about a 25 min drive (the traffic is bad but distance short).’

Laura was there to meet us and so lovely - friendly and helpful. Her English is a excellent and she helped us with anything we needed.  She wasn’t always at the reception area of these apartments but was very responsive to what’s app messages. 

We loved the accomm- our room was up a couple flights of stairs which was fine for us as we didn’t have much luggage.  The room was very clean and nicely decorated. A good sized cupboard to hang clothes, plenty of electric sockets and a small kitchenette. We didn’t cook in the room and can’t really imagine doing this - there are so many places to eat. However we did have breakfast there and bought a couple things to eat. There was a fridge, kettle and utensils.  WiFi was good - strong signal with no issues. 

Yes the bathroom is small. There really ain’t much room to sit on the toilet but it didn’t bother us at all. The shower was small but fine and actually they had made good use of a small space and there were plenty of shelves to store toiletries.  A hairdryer was supplied. 

The balcony was small but enough room for 2 chairs and you could sit and watch the world go by downstairs.  

We weren’t bothered by the outside noise. We generally go to bed early and once the windows were closed (double glazed) you could hear a little outside noise but not much and I would expect that from any accommodation in the old town anyway. I actually like to hear the noise of others outside, music etc. 

There is everything you need in the local streets in the old town - bars, restaurants, pharmacy, souvenirs etc. 

We left early in the morning and early checkout was easy as we could leave keys in box outside. 

I’d certainly be happy to stay here again. Thanks Laura - you were a great host! 

Location amazing and host/manager lovely! 

The positives 
1) the owner / people working there are really nice, friendly and helpful. 
2) the apartment(s) are tiny but still alright for a short stay. 
3) inside the old town yet walking distance to the city beach, Kamelija shopping center ( groceries ). 
4) clean and comfortable. 

The negatives 
1) the bar down stairs plus next door ( old bar ) have EXTREMELY loud live music till 1 in the morning every night. So unless you’re 18 or someone that doesn’t mind sleeping this is absolutely a deal breaker. Out of the 7 days we stayed, we managed to sleep twice before 2am. 
2) the bathroom is TINY. almost unusable. 

So if you don’t mind loud ( sometimes unpleasant ) music till 1 am, it’s worth it! 


Food apartment -  Loud music every night till 1 am from downstairs. 

Staying here right now. The rooms are very clean and well decorated but very small. The bathroom is extremely small. I am just under 6ft and I cant close the bathroom door if I am on the toilet. Staff seem fine. The noise OMG the wine bar downstairs has live music til 1am. The windows are double glazed however it didnt help with the sound. Sadly I would not stay here again.

Small, noisy & cute

My partner and I stayed at the Apartments Wine House Old Town for 3 nights this past week. Apart from the super charming, friendly and extremely helpful Antonio, the apartment was everything we hoped it would be. We arrived via a privately arranged car transfer from Dubrovnik Airport, a little later in the evening. And this was no issue at all. After a quick call to Antonio, he came to greet us, process our personal/booking details and ushered us to our wonderful studio room with balcony. Everything we needed for our short stay was included. And requesting extra toiletries, soap, coffee and assistance to book a taxi to Budva was no issue at all. All done with a smile and no fuss. Highlights were the kitchenette, mini refrigerator, excellent air conditioner, the wonderful balcony and the location in the gorgeous Stari Grad! The only slight negative is the bathroom. It’s a little small (particularly the leg room when using the lavatory). But if you’re not super fussy like we are this apartment hotel is just marvellous. 

Full of Old Town charm,

Apartments Wine House in Old Town is the perfect place to stay.  The rooms are well finished.  I had a studio room with two single beds, it is spacious with a small dining table, kitchenette with fridge and 2 burner hotplate (no microwave), perfect for storing some breakfast items if you don't fancy eating out, air-conditioning.  The bathroom is incredibly small but adequate for one person.

The room I was staying in was above the wine bar situated below and although the piano man played great tunes it can get noisy and if you are wanting to get to sleep earlylish you may have to put your noise cancelling headphones on.  There are rooms to the rear of the property which overlook the alleyway, although not a great outlook they will be quieter.

As it not the easiest place to find, like most accommodation in the maze of alleyways in Old Town, Antonio the manager was extremely friendly and helpful and very kindly came and met me at the North Gate and showed me to the apartment once I finally arrived in Kotor.

As it is an apartment, there is no hotel manager or concierge on call, however if you did require anything you can contact them and they would accommodate.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Old Town, great location, great rooms and great value!
