Otman welcomed us very kindly. The rooms were clean and fresh, the bed was soft and the pool was sparkling. He made us feel very at home. The chef cooked us a delicious meal and breakfast and the location was peaceful and sunny.
Thanks to Otman for being such an excellent host.

Fabulous

Loved the place, the decor and location. Easy to find.
We only speak English, but not a problem here.
Bathroom in the room, good bed. Full breakfast too with eggs.
And dinner was good too. Host was friendly and helpful.
In fact when we went to leave, he saw we had a flat tire and changed it for us.
With the tools we had, that would have been tough on our own.
Then told us where to go for tire repair. Great experience.

Great customer service

Our stay was a stopover on a longer roadtrip. Although the roomes were not prebooked and although we were the only guests there was a warm welcome and nice, friendly talk at dinner.
The room was clean enough (remember, it's Morocco...) and we liked the interiour decoration of the house.
We've definitely been to worse places in Morocco for this price.

Good choice

Now that the road between Zagora and Foumsguid is paved (two lanes!) a trip down the valley to Foumsguid becomes a good idea. The journey there is delightful, with mountains on both sides and the road is fast and straight. Just before you cross the bridge into Foumsguid (in the section called Amerzrou) to your right, just off the main road and overlooking the river, is the charming and rustic Maison D'Hotes Hiba.
I love rambling rural places like this---staircases and hallways winding around, lots of interesting textiles on the walls and the floors, clean and simple rooms, newly appointed bathroom fixtures and very interesting stone walls in the bathroom.
Demi-pension at 300DH included delicious marinated chicken brochettes and chips (and the ubiquitous Moroccan salad), plus fruit, and a simply prepared but good breakfast. The manager, Said, was friendly and helpful.
There is a small pool which could use some attention.
I had my dog with me and it was not a problem.

Charming and rustic

The place is bit far from town. Wifi is ok. Overall, Not good value for money, poor service and not very nice facilities - pool was dirty, bathroom aweful and shower was cold.. I've been in much better place in Morocco. Not recommended.
