My family and I had such a wonderful stay here in July. It was truly a piece of paradise. I traveled with my two daughters (11 & 7) and another friend and her 3 kids. L'Ermitage is a very special place, amidst the hubbub of the very busy national park, it's a quiet, gorgeous retreat into nature. Words and even photos can't capture how beautiful it is. There's so much thought and consideration on how they made the entire grounds to feel so organic and one with nature. There are so many beautiful nooks and crannies and so much care and thought have gone into the sustaining beauty and wonderment of the grounds. I encourage anyone to go for a peaceful base and to enjoy all the riches of the park. A true sanctuary! It's good for families, couples, friends. They are expanding in the near future and I can't wait to go back. I only wish we had a couple more days to stay there.

A must-visit peaceful natural wonder.

Un vrai paradis avec service excepcionelle. Delicious food although dinner took a while--be prepared for a wait. Beautiful location, gorgeous grounds and cozy and thoughtfully appointed rooms, gardens, dining hall, etc.

A magical place

L'Ermitage is a magical location. I got to know it thanks to social media and decided to visit it on my last trip to Morocco, where I was touring the north. 

I highly recommend anyone visiting Chefchaouen to pay a visit to this space. It is less than half an hour from this little town. It has nothing to do with the rest of the country and in my case in particular put the finishing touch to end my trip.

If you go without a car it is easy to get very close to L'Ermitage and contact them to pick you up on the last part of the way to the complex. 

I would recommend spending at least 3 nights here. The chalets are not only beautiful on the outside, but also very comfortable inside and very spacious. Very comfortable mattress and pillows, BTW! 

The place is wonderful, it has beautiful gardens with lots of special places to disconnect and a river that crosses the entire property that is also full of magical and wonderful corners with hammocks hanging over the water, or loungers where you can lie down quietly to read a book listening to the sound of the river. There are also tables with chairs strategically placed in different parts of the river where you can also sit and read, have a drink or chat quietly. 

If you don't want to coincide with anyone and take your stay to relax and connect with nature, you are in the right place, but equally if you are accompanied, your experience will be memorable.

I also find the space perfect as a location for retreats. In fact, during my stay I coincided with one of these groups. 

Families and children will also enjoy this place very much. Hiking activities are available and the setting is wonderful for a lot of nature activities. You can see natural bridges, waterfalls and wonderful scenery. 

I will definitely repeat on any other trip in the north of the country. I shared content on social networks about this place and many people asked me about it. They could not believe I was in Morocco, a country of contrasts where you can find wonders like these if you like to go off the beaten path. 

Highly recommended. My experience was wonderful. The food was phenomenal and I especially remember the breakfasts. I'm a fan of spending a long time having breakfast in slow mode in hotels, but here you do it with the perfect backdrop. Clearly I will be back. 

My recommendation is that you do not hesitate. Do yourself a favor and book! You will come back as good as new after spending a few days here. 

Magical

The hotel is located in a very special location.
The river and the waterfalls are just below the rooms.
There are beautiful places to walk and relax all over the place and the restaurant is very good too.
The room are clean and comfortable. No internet in the room

Special place

This is just paradise. We only stayed 1 night but next time we certainly stayed longer. It starts with the pickup at the parking outside the village where you need to leave your car. Everyone was so so friendly and accommodating as if you were a regular visitor . The rooms are just amazing: modern, clean and all the amenities you need. The gardens and the lightening are amazing Dinner and breakfast were the best we had In Maroc. We did the 2 h walk to the waterfall and it was a great walk. We highly recommend this as a stop between visiting all the Medina as you can have some inner peace here

Paradise on earth

I was amazed by beauty and serenity of the surrounding nature. The place is cozy offering all the amenities I needed for my stay. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I particularly enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the flowing river and the birds singing. Many outdoors activities are available: long walk in the nature,hiking by the waterfalls, quad...
Very safe area, I was walking by myself at night from the village to the lodge, local people are so nice and helpful.
I highly recommend this place.

A peaceful escape in the great outdoors

We spent two wonderful nights in this lovely piece of heaven.  I really wish we could have stayed longer.  This is the perfect place to reconnect with nature, one-self and loved ones in a very relaxing & rejuvenating space.  We had the privilege of staying in the newly revealed Borj Suite. It was spaceous, wonderfully designed and decorated.  When you stay at the Ermitage d'Akchour you can feel the love, respect and positive energy that was given into developing and maintaining this lovely green and blue space in the mountains.  I hightly recommend spending some quality time in nature at Ermitage d'Akchour.  I am looking forward to returning the next time I am in Morocco. 

Magnificent and Magical Stay

We stayed only one night and we definitively should have stayed longer. Not only the children but all of us really enjoyed the set up, the decor, the room... and the riverside !
I cannot recommend it more, it is just amazing and deserve the little effort to reach there. If you plan to visit Chefchaouen, you should definitively stay there.

What a Great Property !

On recommendation, we enjoyed coffee here after our hike and waterfall swim. It is beautiful. Cool gardens and seating areas. Friendly, capable, English-soeaking staff. We would have full confidence in enjoying a full meal here, or staying as a retreat location from which visit Chefchaouen.  

An Oasis of Akchour

The place has a great location , maybe 2 minutes to the Kasbah. I had a garden facing room and heard no noise at night. Nice staff and helped with directions, money exchange, baggage, etc. Breakfast was huge but a lot of bakery item. Over hung the table with plates. Fried egg was good but the butter, jelly, olive oil, Goat cheese, olives, etc were to die for. Excellent.
