Large room, good cleaning in the room and bathroom, staff care, and very good food and breakfast, hot water takes a while to reach the taps, but you'll be warned on arrival.

A good place to spend the night.

In a strategic position before diving into the dunes of the Chebby Desert. Very clean, local style furnishings, very nice stone sinks. Breakfast varies with local products, Berber specialties, in a table always popping up with fresh flowers. In the inner courtyard there is a beautiful swimming pool, everything very well maintained.

Oasis of peace!

Very nice staff, wonderful location, and the pool is a dream, excellent quality, excellent price, everything very clean and excellent cuisine. I stayed there for three nights and I was able to taste different dishes and be amazed every time by the thousands of attention they put to every detail. The table dotted with flowers at every meal, the bathrooms on the swimming pool beds each with a different shape, heart, swan, in short, I felt really cocked.

A dream place

What a haven to arrive and be greeted by very friendly staff. The room was awesome in traditional design with ac, wifi at the lobby, hot water shower and a great breakfast and dinner. The best of all they have a large pool full of cool water. Awesome !!!

A cold pool after a long day on the Motorcycle

We happened to be the only guests at this hotel that night. The rooms are original, all on the ground floor with a private patio completely closed. They can be blamed for being a little dark. The pool is nice. The very simple meal was very good. We really enjoyed this stage.

All right for one step.

We made a stop on our desert excursion.The room was very spacious and beautiful, with a large and very comfortable bed.The relaxing swimming pool and fresh water although the outdoor facilities are poorly maintained.We were taken to dinner and breakfast at a Rissani hotel, everything very good and the people very friendly.

Calm down 

We went with a friend on a road trip to the Moroccan Sahara. We were warmly welcomed by two men who impressed me with their kindness and respect. The whole establishment was very clean, the rooms were perfectly comfortable, the bed was good, the swimming pool was beautiful, not to mention the meals were excellent. We were accompanied to the Risani souk where we could buy dates from local producers and many other excellent things. I will definitely come back.

The Charm of the East

We had a break down and the five of us rented two rooms unexpectedly.  This is a "5 Star" hotel, and it does have a pretty cool layout. But the rooms did not get warm even though we had the heaters turned up to 30C. And there was no hot water in the evening or in the morning.  They let us park the bikes in the lobby to keep them safe overnight.

The staff helped us by getting a mechanic to come pick up the broke down bike (who ended up gouging us on price, but we didn't know that at the time), which was very helpful.

Good service but no hot water or heat in rooms

A very nice kasbah! The rooms are very good, the surroundings are beautiful. Because we only stayed one night in december, unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the pool and the beautiful area around it. Would love to come back! Dinner and breakfast were good, very friendly service.

Very nice Kasbah!

We arrived late on a December day and this was one of the few locations on our trip where we weren't welcomed with a warm cup of mint tea. It would have been very welcome because the temperature was close to freezing. The reception by the clerk behind the reception was of comparable warmth. Fortunately both the very helpful night-watch and restaurant staff turned out to be all the more friendly and helpful.

On a cold night like this finding out that the heating of the air-conditioning in our room didn't work was bad news. Fortunately we could move to the room next door. The heating of the air-conditioning worked here (although it didn't do much more than warm up half of the room) but the drain of the shower was clogged up and taking a shower would have resulted in a free swimming pool in the bedroom.

A shame really because the rooms are very nice and romantic, with canopy bed and all ...

The hotel probably knows that there are not many dining options nearby so it offers a set menu (three choices per course) at 150 dirham. We found this to be rather pricey for the very basic food we got.

Rissani was a stop in our organised itinerary between Fes and Merzouga. Since Fes to Rissani is an 8 hour drive and Rissani to Merzouga just 40 minutes I would not advice anybody to follow the same itinerary. Since there isn't much to see in Rissani besides some old ruins and the local markets (on three days of the week) there is really no need to stay in Rissani and burden yourself with such a long drive. Even more so because the camel treks into the dessert only leave around 15:00 from Merzouga. Make it easy on yourself and stay halfway in Midelt or Er-Rachida instead. You will still have time to visit the Rissani market if you want.
