Amazing place tucked away in the hills above Essaouire. Everything was great - the house, the grounds, the restaurant, the pool. Really fantastic service made it into a wonderful break. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem

Not the easiest of locations to find, but well worth making the effort. 

The complex consists of several separate and spacious riads set in a landscape of attractive gardens, with a large swimming pool and dining area creating a focal feature. The incredible city of Essaouira and the surf beach of Sidi Kaouki are just a short drive away and L‘Arganerie is a perfect base from which to explore both.

The real joy though is the team of staff, headed by Christophe and Siham, who are an absolute delight. Always happy, welcoming and prepared to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is perfect. The food is quite excellent too with the freshly prepared tagines and cous cous both authentic and flavoursome.

Quite exceptional service, a fabulous stay!

A Wonderful Oasis

A bit off the main road (2km dirt road) but well worth it!
Staff is extremely welcoming, food is simple for lunch (koftas, salads, burgers, omelettes) and dinner offers  single menu: Tagine. Everyday a different, but fantastic one!
Swimming pool is big and Riads are very nice. 
If you are 6-8 together you can have the whole place for yourselves and can also get a private cook!
Highly recommend the place

Fantastic relaxing place

The only problem with this place is you don't want to leave to explore the Essouira town. Beautiful gardens, lovely spacious accommodation, amazing food, lovely heated pool, pleasant and unobtrusive staff, We would definitely plan a repeat visit.
The property is a mile or two down a fairly basic track and you cannot go anywhere without a taxi so if you want to pop in and out of Essouira, this is not the place for you. Ideal for a relaxing family stay.

Lovely Stay

This is a wonderful place - once you've found it. Because you really need to put a lot of faith into the route description to keep going through those dusty, bumpy back streets, which were promised to lead to a special treasure. Maybe that added to the experience, but the promises were certainly kept. Behind the walls we found fresh, green gardens, spacious apartments, the popular heated pool (you may think that's not a big attraction in a desert country, but it is great when travelling in early spring). As many reviews have already note, this is a perfect place for families, with plenty of space for children to run, play and swim, chickens and the donkey. But I could perfectly imagine the place equally well for a romantic couple, older people or single travellers looking for a calm, friendly  place. If we return, we'll definitely stay there again.

A wonderful place

We visited Essaouira for 10 days over the Easter holidays with our 2 daughters, aged 11 & 5.

The hotel is a brilliant base and perfect to spend days relaxing by the pool (heated😀😀) and then popping 10 minutes into Essaouira to explore the beautiful city. 

The hotel pool is a real winner for families as it’s heated and large enough to always have sun loungers free. There is a shallow part for toddlers, it’s very clean and safe.
We did visit Jardins De Douers which is a great day out for lunch with the family however their family pool is very small and was so busy the ambience was spoilt.

The Riads at Domaine de l’Arganeraie are enormous, we had a ground floor family apartment which had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a very large lounge and kitchen. The value for money is amazing and we will definitely be going back.

Special mention to the staff who are so friendly and welcoming as well.

If you are looking for a brilliant family break and up for experiencing a different culture this ticks all the boxes.

Family Easter trip Essaouira

This place has some riads in a remote place - very nice garden, very big and beautiful riads and big swimming pool. 
A bit far away from Essaouira (100 DH with Taxi) but then again one trip to Essaouira is enough.
In march its a little cold for swimming pool since it´s near to to ocean , but the place is really nice and beautiful.
