Due to a fall of a loved one my stay in Essaouira was extended. The staff were very accommodating rooms we’re comfortable.
Rooms kept clean breakfast included. Recommendations to restaurants nearby and laundry service provided. Neighborhood cats decorate the streets. The people live from the heart.

Easy walk to view the Mediterranean Sea from the Medina walls. Shopping close by with a flavor of local life.

This Riad has a very nice front desk staff. Breakfast is nice with a good croissant with jam and honey, other bread and if you ask they will bring a simple egg omelet too. Enjoyed their coffee too.  Tea is also provided, it's Morocco!  They don't have AC or heat.  I was there in Early 
May and it was comfortable. Nice bath with shower.  Wifi is best on 2nd floor or lower. 
Really easy to find inside the Medina and easy walk to everywhere.
Roof top too!  No elevator, they have a porter for bags.     

Nice Riad

We stayed here for an extended break in Essaouira and were very happy with all aspects of the hotel.
It is located in a prime position near to the main square.
All the staff are kind and helpful and want you to have a pleasant experience.
Very satisfactory and filling Moroccan style breakfast included in the price.
The rooms with bathrooms are all nice. The rooms with shared bathrooms are quite basic, but obviously cheaper.
The main negative was that the front rooms were quite close to the early morning Imam singing, but that probably applies around the town. Inside rooms are not affected.
Overall, Cap Sim is an attractive combination of quality and value,with kind, friendly staff.

Good qualities in a budget hotel


We stayed there for 2 nights during our visit to Essaouira. It’s conveniently located, only a minute away from the main square. It has some beautiful Moroccan decorations inside. Rooms were clean and big. My only complaint is towels which were limited to two, could have done with more. Breakfast was freshly made and tasted great.
Be aware that cars can’t get to the hotel as it’s located in a small alley. Either you carry your stuff from the taxi stand (5 minutes walk) or hire porters (50 dirham for one trolley).

Nice hotel 

This is a wonderful place to stay in Essaouira.  It's located in a great spot and rates are more than fair.  The people staffing the front desk are very helpful.  Mme. Samira Tabti was especially helpful, finding us a place to stay in Fes on a very busy weekend.

Nice hotel, great front desk, good location and ample breakfast

Nice hotel with nice fresh breakfast in a great location. Only issue was the toxic stench of sewage from the pipes in the bathroom.  Staff indicated that running the water fixes the issue - not the case. 

Nice hotel, putrid smell in bathroom

The rooms were nice, but lacked a window or an AC so it was very stuffy all the time. The staff were rude and unhelpful, especially when concerning a damaged room (the shower head fell off!) 
Breakfast was inconsistent to the group e.g. one person would get much more than the other and was plain. Too expensive for what it is.
