Not that splendid! Not as advertised: no bar, the pool is outside, not heated. Breakfast is basic and poor value (save your money and go to a café).  Very clean, and some staff were friendly. Reception staff were uniformly unhelpful - we arrived in the evening and they weren't helpful when we asked for suggestions where   to eat. Waiting for our taxi to depart they wouldn't make us a coffee as they said they were too busy. But the hotel was more or less empty the whole time we were there. For a summer stay the pool would be good, and I imagine the location would be better than the crush of the medina. Didn't check the air con. No heat in winter but extra blankets. Ok to walk to the sights in the cool of December (19C) but you'd fry in the summer as it is over half an hour brisk walk. Petit taxis are fast and plentiful but be wary as some will try it on, while others are lovely. Would we stay there again? It's a no from us.

Not as advertised, but very clean

We were booked in as a tour group and it was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
As soon as you walk in the hotel reeks of cigarette smoke. The guy at reception is not friendly or welcoming.The rooms also smell strongly of cigarette smoke. The rooms are very old and desperately needs updating. AC is loud. The shower is very small and takes 20 minutes for the hot water. Towels are thread bare. Breakfast is just ok. I feel sorry for the kitchen staff as they are probably doing their best for what they have.
My advise is do not book this hotel.

Very nice hotel with excellent location. Sea views are amazing, bus stop to old town just at the door, plenty of restaurants and bars at walking distance. The hotel has two small nice beaches (truly chilly water for the Mediterranean in September, like in the whole Dubrovnik area). Staff very kind and helpful. Nice and clean rooms. It's really worth to pay an extra for a room with sea view. A perfect place to stay in crazyly overpriced Dubrovnik

Excellent location

Cheap accommodation. 
Good location if you're looking to be in the new part of the city. It is close to the CTM bus station. 
Hotel is a bit outdated. There is a basic breakfast included in price, I definitely wouldn't pay for it extra. There was plenty of hot water and shower pressure was good. 
There is a pool, we didn't use it as we visited Fes on a rainy November day.
All in all I think it's okay place to sleep over for a night or two, if you don't expect much of it.

Ok place for a night or two

It's ok to spend a night but the breakfast it's included and they charged us anyway. Besides, you eat what they want (wich is not that good) not being able to choose a thing. You can hear people on the hall from your room. It's in the new center, 10min by car to the Medina, the only interesting thing to watch in Fes. I wouldn't stay here again.

Fraco

Stayed at this hotel for one night on a tour of Morocco.
The location was good and the hotel has a small pool, but the room itself was disappointing.
Furniture was old, the bathroom was not clean and the linen was worn out. Breakfast was also a disappointment - for a country where so much fruit is grown, it is puzzling why so little is served in the hotels and the juice is all concentrate.

Dated hotel in Fes

I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group.  I hate negative reviews when a hotel, like this one, has some lovely staff but I am afraid this hotel is tired and not well located for seeing the interesting part of Fes.  It appears to be a hotel for small business people located in the commercial part of the city.  It was not within reasonable walking distance of the Medina and other historic sites.  The first room I was allocated reeked of cigarette smoke and had some very dodgy electrical switches. The second was better but dark and worn.   A major concern was the fire safety of this hotel because of the state of some of the plugs. etc.  The much overworked domestic on my floor, Fatima, was a lovely woman, and she and a charming man on the desk, were the most positive things of my stay at this hotel.

Tired Hotel with Nice Staff

Wi-Fi is working only in the lobby and not in your room at all which is ridicilous, Breakfasts were everyday the same and was average, tried spaghetti bolognese from hotel restaurant and it was really bad, at least waiter was always good and friendly, rooms are horrible looking like back to 60's, 1 socket in whole room is ridicilous and Not even close to bed..bathroom to small that you Don't even have enough space on toilet, at least hot water was Okay, hotel stinks from cigarettes all over, through the walls you can hear your neighbours talking easy, won't reccomend this hotel at all to anyone ridicilous experience Never More !!!

Holidays 

We stayed at Hotel Splendid for 2 nights while staying in Fez. Although the location was good, the hotel itself is average. The hotel desk staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the breakfast was a disappointment, along with the communication from the wait staff (no English at all- makes it difficult to ask for something) Our WiFi would only work if we stood by our window😕
