Great location, nice atmosphere, friendly staff taking care of a tasteful breakfast. We had a spacious room with a/c. Riad Lyla is a great hide-away in the buzzling medina of Marrakesh. Loved the roof terasse for breakfast or to enjoy the late afternoon sun. 

Tip: rent a bike at Pikala or book a daypass to enjoy the pool and garden of one of the hotels nearby. 

Highly recommended for a few days.

Lovely riad at a great location!

We have arrived back home following a glorious weekend at Riad Lyla. We’d been at a hotel resort for the first few days of our trip and an opportunity came up to stay at a the Riad and were so pleased that we did.

From the very warm welcome by Mustafa to the oasis in the bustling streets of Marrakech, this was truly a gem of a find.

Water and mint tea was served and all of our luggage taken care of. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, Mustafa and Ayub, both were so kind and helpful. 
We were so humbled by their welcome and kindness.

Breakfast was fresh, simple and just perfect. Fresh juice and coffee or tea, sat next to the pool, surrounded by greenery and birds singing. 

Our family room was so charming and was comfortable for us as a family of four, my in laws had a lovely room too and were very pleased with the sleep they had.

We will most definitely be looking to come back one day and recommend it as a great central place to relax, with it being so convenient to the Medina and the souks. 

Truly grateful for such a relaxing and wonderful couple of days - thank you.

A beautiful oasis in the centre of Marrakech

We’ve enjoyed our stay at this peaceful, idyllic Riad. It’s been a place of calm away from the chaos, and always a pleasure to come home to after a day out. The breakfasts and dinners are delicious, beds comfy, hosts are friendly and attentive, and there is a pool for a cool dip on a hot day! There are multiple terraces at the top of the riad to enjoy breakfast or to relax. The location is perfect - a 5 min walk from a main road, and a 5 min walk from the main square (Jemaa el-Fna). I highly recommend this Riad!

Highly Recommend

Amazing cozy place, full of character and charm in the middle of the Medina.
The home made breakfast gave it even more charm. 
The service was outstanding.
Remember this is a traditional Moroccan form of hotel and it’s supposed to be rustic. 
It’s like an oasis in the middle of the chaos of the Medina. Straight out to local shops without the noise. 
It brought me great memories from my grandmother house when I was a kid. Even the smells. I would definitely come back one day and highly recommend it.

Cozy and charming

Such a charming Riad. Makes you think you are in 1001 nights stories and deserves all the great reviews it has received. Breakfast in the garden under fragrant plants and song birds was just like dream. Thank you Ayyoub and all the team! Shokran!

A beautiful, charming, peaceful and welcoming place. The room was brimming with character and the communal spaces lush with well-kept plants and antiques. Nice water features in the courtyards. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace and great service throughout our stay.

Peaceful haven in the Medina

Beautiful Riad with wonderful furnishings and antiques.  Top-notch customer service.  Peaceful, private and really quiet for sleeping.  We loved it!  Nice breakfast.  Nice rooftop.  Everything was well-done.  We highly recommend this Riad.

Top quality

A great Riad on a very good location. The staff is fantastic and there is nothing they won’t help you with. Breakfast is plentiful and the room are well-sized, clean and feel safe. It is a very nice place to relax after a day in the hectic city if Marrakech

Fantastic Riad

One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed in. So quiet and relaxing and a lovely place to be after all the hustle and bustle of the Medina. The staff go above and beyond for you and make you feel so welcome. Our room was clean and housekeeping came every day. We chose to eat the same evening meal twice because it was so good! 
People have said in other reviews about breakfast being the same each morning and this is true but it’s a great breakfast.  I think maybe the confusion is that  Riad’s aren’t hotels in the same sense as what some might expect. They used to be peoples homes so they aren’t designed for mass catering. 
I wouldn’t stay anywhere else now I’ve experienced Riad Lyla. Everything about it just made me feel happy, safe and calm.

The most beautiful place I have ever stayed in.

If one is visiting Marrakech, then the stay at a Riad is an absolute must. The photos described in other reviews are 100% correct, so I'm not adding any more photos. 
The highlights for top rating for this place are:
1. The location, location and location.  It is pretty much close to Jamaa El Fina, the main roads, restaurants, Souks etc.  Perfect location.
2. The warmth, friendliness and service from Ayub and Mohammed are simply superb.  By this itself, this place is worth every penny. The hotel staff (the ladies who cook   and clean) are efficient, polite, and ready to address all the needs. 
3. The rooms are historic, and the stay here gives a completely distinct experience. 
4. The breakfast is very good and customized to individual liking within what they offer every day. The food is excellent as well.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, so it is not an issue either. 
I strongly recommend this place.
