I would  rate this property 0. Where to start. Family of 12 had booked the entire Riad to enjoy our summer together. If there was a hell on earth this would be it! Host named Reda was a complete con artist along with the owner! Name unknown. Host was rude. Refused to listen and thought we were being unreasonable when I asked if he thought this was a joke that this place was good enough for guests.  Reda who was aware of our arrival 4 weeks before we flew out had not taken the time to get this Riad ready for us but had taken our deposit. He took our deposit of £250 which we were told we would get back but never did. We spoke with the owner also to tell her that her place was awful and we needed our deposit back. She shouted at us and told us 'No". She was rude and refused to even have a conversation. We even frightened her with the police which she replied "Go on then". Were still waiting on the outcome and have filed a police report. When we delt with these people we were shown complete different photos. Like the nicer  ones online. Those photos must be very old! This place is nothing like the photos online so beware. I cried with such disappointment heavily pregnant. The place is dirty, unkept and possibly dangerous with the amount of mould and damp smelt throughout the property. The kitchen was filthy, air conditioning not working in July temperatures. Beds dirty and slept in. Birds feather on most sheets. Pool downstairs in the communal area had bird feathers floating in it. Bird crap over the wooden door frames. Bird poo is not usual in Riads but this took the biscuit. I felt like i was in a bird sanctuary. Plants dry as a bone-Probably shipped in from the dessert. Please see the photos uploaded. These were only a few of the photos taken. The spa/bathroom robes were grey from dirt! They should have been white. Mirrors and tablets dusty with bodily fluids on them. Our suitcases were thick with dust after pulling them throughout the Riad. This place should be taken off any booking website. I'm always that person who try's to give the hotel reviews the benefit of the doubt and think to myself "aww maybe it's just the person, they are just too fussy". But I am telling you listen to me!

The worst place I have laid eyes on in Marrakech. Booked elsewhere within hours of arriving!

This place is located in the middle of nowhere and it’s really hard to find especially at night you have to go through local houses which is nightmare if you don’t have a map app you will be lost And we lead the wrong way by locals especially at night even the ones that try to help you are telling you to go the wrong way he will soon realise this after a few times they ask for help they can I get they can get aggressive if you don’t take that advice. The best place to be dropped off is limoni restaurant (which is amazing their camel burger is one of the best)  
The locals can seem bit shady and the kids rude And pretend to spit on you and due to not knowing the laws you don’t know what you can do to them/ say back. Huge gang of teenagers getting roudy and aggressive when it’s just two of you can be scary. On the other hand it’s a very tranquil place and quite empty so you do you have the rooftop to yourself where you can lie down with a sunbed and take snacks and have tea Yousef was very helpful throughout our stay the room is really big and spacious and the bathroom is really good and has a mirror where you can do your make up with extra light the shower is quiet open however sometimes the toilet does smell furthermore breakfast usually only consists of bread and some jams which can be boring after having it for a week they often give stale bread. One of the pros of living being there for a week was we got a sense of everyday Moroccan life and it was very authentic to make the place better they should add proteins to their breakfast such as meat and eggs. 

Get ready to get lost finding this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    

We stayed for 2 nights and it was incredible, The service offered by Abdul and rest of the staff's were amazing, They will assist you and give their best to help and to have your stay comfortable. Great hospitality!Kudos to all of you and to the management for having them in this Riad Awatif 36.

Me and my friend were so happy for their service. BREAKFAST is very good. I highly recommend this Riad for people who wants to stay cozy and to feel the real Moroccan Hospitality and wants comfort and in a very affordable rates. I will definetly come back ans stay again in this property.

Amazing,Comfortable and Great Hospitality

We have recently spent 4 days at this Riad by default as we booked to stay at Riad Ali Baba but for some reason unbeknown to us we were told we would be staying at Riad Awatif36.  The room was long and narrow but it was kept very clean.   Our room faced the street and every night we could hear children playing and  banging drums until after midnight.  It is not a particularly good area but well placed for getting into the main areas of the Medina and we did not encounter any problems.   The  staff were very pleasant and helpful and did try to make our stay enjoyable under the circumstances.  The breakfasts were minimal, basically bread and croissant.  However we did have an evening meal on our last night and the food was delicious.  We too were told about the map app for your phone which was great.  We also had numerous experiences with locals redirecting us and then pestering for money which is very annoying and spoils your impression of Marrakech. We also went on a private trip to the Atlas Mountains which was enjoyable but very little interaction with the driver and your are taken to places where they are constantly trying to sell you stuff.  The highlight of the trip is to visit a waterfall which is quite precarious but again you are lead through local stalls.  Your are finally taken to a cafe on the river and the one we went to was not good..when we received the food it was cold (chicken skewers and rice) and my husband has been unwell ever since. My advice is to go on a group trip and be selective what and where you eat.

Stayed by default

When in Marrakesh it is always a problem with the touts trying to guide you for a long detour and charge you for their service. The area of the Riad is no exception. 

Except from that the Riad was a great place! Room a bit narrower than in pictures, but the beds and facilities are great. The service is incredible, and you may ask for help whenever. The rooftop is super chill and their food is even better than the restaurants around. Trips are available on request only a nights sleep before arrival. Great place. If im coming back to Marrakesh this is where I will stay.

Again. The service is truly top five of my experiences around the world. 

Great place to stay!

The place was small but it was lovely and well kept. The staff introduced to us a map application to help us navigate the medina. We enjoyed our stay in Marrakech because of the help of the staff of Riad Luxe 36. KUDOS!

Small but Lovely

The staff were so lovely that they made our stay so special. One of the days (the last one) we had a lovely meal cooked and the table where we sat decorated with rose petals. It was so sweet. 

The rooms were very clean, I could say perfect! We had a peek at the other rooms when they were empty and we thought they were all really well decorated. The location was so ideal as well. So close to the souk and it was great to be in the neighbourhood. It gave us a great way to experience Morocco through the locals and even make friends.

Beautiful haven

We had a lovely stay at this Riad in November 2018. The location was good with quick access to the main square and other sights. The room was lovely, very clean and a good size. Breakfast was also good every day was slightly different (we stayed for 5 nights) and the staff were all very nice and helpful. 

HOWEVER, having returned from our trip (we booked via prestigia) we found that a second payment for the entire cost of our stay was charged again to my account a month after our stay. I have tried sorting this through prestigia however they have informed me the hotel are not getting back to them. I am still owed 200£ from this hotel so be very careful!! 

I would love them to actually get back to me so we can sort this out and I can change my review to what it should be because it has soured a really lovely stay there!!!!

A lovely stay but charged twice..

I spent a night at this riad during a vacation with my friends around Morocco. 

Rooms are small but well kept, bathrooms are huge and clean. The roof top was really nice and breakfast was the best we had in Morocco during the all stay. Also, and most importantly, the staff was really kind with us: they helped us with luggages and with an unpleasant situation with people on the street asking money to us for random stuff. We also witnessed a situation where a guy from staff helped a couple from Brazil who had issues with the booking from their agency: he really tried to figure out the best solution to help them.

The only downside is the area in which the Riad is situated, which it’s not the best in the Medina in my opinion. But this is not a big issues if you travel in 2 or more. 



Very nice and kind staff

Would have rated 5 stars but it was slightly ruined by our conversations with riad staff on our last night. As our agency booked the riad on our behalf, we are not expecting any more payments, since we are also not informed of any. On the last night, we had good greetings and usual check-in about our day, and we are telling them about the time we want to have our breakfast the next day but they simply ignore that question and then turned into few questionings about a sum of money due to them. We were 3 girls, and to be honest we felt a little threatened, getting upset, I asked them to check with our agency before coming back to us while I double check with the agency, he mumbled and said he don't think its covered (its actually covered after both sides checked).

I get that they worry about money due to them if not collected, but it is important, especially in service line, to get all the facts before confronting customers. The most upsetting thing is the tone and manner, it was scary with a little threatening undertone, like they can do things to us if we don't comply. It was a very upsetting and strange night (as they request for a selfie in the middle of tensed conversation), and I have not forgiven them for ruining the night because we had such a excellent 14-day trip in Morocco, and most importantly, because they did not apologise. It felt like they were all treating us nicely to wait to collect this sum from us. They weren't able to, so it all went bad.

I gave an average rating because the room is nice, well kept, and breakfast everyday was good with small varieties and we appreciate that. Riad is also near the Medina, however we won't be returning because of what happened for fearing what we do not know what they might do or whether they will handle with professionalism is any issues arise the next time.
