Lovely rooms,  excellent location, delicious breakfast, great roof terrace but mostly the perfect hosts. Christian and Isabelle go out of their way to make you feel comfortable in their Riad and in Marrakech. The mini tour made a huge difference to our confidence in finding our way around and the tips for shops/atms/restaurants all great. Take advantage of their airport transfers and local knowledge. Merci beaucoup.

Oasis in the Medina

We chose Riad Badi because of a search for destinations convenient for the Marrakech Marathon 2020 and we can honestly say we are unable to find one negative point about our stay there.

The hosts Christian and Isabelle were absolutely charming, helpful, interesting and accommodating but without being at all imposing. They sat us down with a map and leaflets/ guide books to show us the Médina and all around Marrakech for recommendations of places to visit, eat and drink. Plus - as Christian is a keen runner he was the best host for anyone about to run the Marrakech Marathon and we spoke ‘the international language of runners’ most days: he helped us with the start line location and even lent me a roller after the event to help with recovery. 

Isabelle organised a fantastic breakfast every day and on race day was up before 5am to prepare oatmeal and banana/dates especially for me at 6.00am.

The venue is beautiful - a classic Riad around a central garden space and it has a lovely roof terrace for basking in the sun. Our room was lovely with a very comfy double bed - good mattress and lovely furnishings including a sprinkling of rose petals on arrival. Excellent shower and bathroom facilities too. The location of the Riad is literally a 2 minute walk from the Wall of the Médina and from the beautiful Badi Palace which was well worth the visit. 

We walked everywhere from Riad Badi and in our first venture, Christian even came out into the road/ roundabout area with us to point out good routes and landmarks. 

We would totally recommend Riad Badi for it’s ideal location, welcoming and efficient hosts, quality of comfort, breakfasts and general satisfaction during our stay. Plus, the hosts arranged a transfer driver to collect us from the airport and then take us back when we left and for a very reasonable price.

Riad Badi - Perfect Destination in Marrakech

This was a lovely little place. Our hosts, Isabelle and Christian, came here from France for work and then stayed when they retired. They’ve had the riad for about 11 years. We had a large room with a roomy bathroom, both spotlessly clean. The towels were big and soft, but the face cloths and shower mat were scratchy. The air-conditioning worked well. Breakfast was great - fruit, fresh breads, homemade yogurt, fresh OJ - it was different each day and was always delicious. The rooftop terrace had a plunge pool that was cold, but nice. Hats and beach towels were also provided. It was less than a 10-minute walk from the souks and the large square. Christian took us on a little walking tour right after we checked in to orient us to the town - a very nice touch. They provide free airport transport if you book directly with them. We’d definitely go back to this lovely little place.

Lovely visit

I would like to post another review although I have done one on Booking.com. Isabelle and Christian, speak French and English. For me, it was a great chance to practice my French; they were very patient in sharing each other's experience and answering the questions of me and my wife. They provided very useful information for visiting Marrakech and Fes. We felt very relaxed and happy to take to them. We exchanged some small gifts with them when saying goodbye and hope that we can meet them in the future, in Morocco, China, or France:)

Overall, my boyfriend and I had a very nice time in Morocco, and the stay at Riad Badi was certainly one exceptional moment in our trip. An excellent shower and a comfy bed were all we dreamed after a full day visiting the city. We also enjoyed having breakfast at their terrasse and we strongly recommend you try it. A special thank you for the personal touches from the hosts, Christian and Isabelle, who were always thoughtful and caring. We sincerely hope to come back.

A great stay with very special hosts

Everything was amazing... the position, cleanness, rooms, breakfast and good advices from Isabelle and Christian... I really recommend the stay to everyone first time in the city and Morocco :-) Thank you...

The best azyl in the city...

We went on a family trip to Marrakech and stayed at the Riad Badi, a beautiful traditional hotel inside the Medina. Excellent location, impeccably clean, swimming pool on the roof, and the best breakfast made by Isabelle, home made marmalade and cakes, great hostess. Christian will help you to get anywhere you want. Highly recommended.

Nice place to stay in Marrakech

We've stayed in this Riad in early november in the canelle or cinnamon room. First of all the owners are super friendly and made us feel welcome right away! The explained how to get around in Marrakech and even showed us the area. During our entire stay they were always there if we needed something but never intrusive.
The riad is super clean, I am a big germophobe but I never felt like anything wasn't clean enough. The room was lovely, it almost felt like a hotel room. 
Our favorite part of the riad was the location. We really liked this part of Marrakech. It is within walking distance of Jema el Fnaa and the medina but the area of the Riad was more calm. It was much easier to walk around and browse the shops in this part of town, a lot of shops even had fixed prices. 
If you are fit you can even walk to Gueliz and menara mall from the Riad and of course it is really close to palace badi and el bahia palace. Overall we would recommend this Riad if you are looking for a friendly and clean Riad in a nice location!

Nice Riad, excellent location

This is a lovely, homey riad in a great location at the southern end of the Medina. While the entire Medina is at your doorstep, the riad is on a very quiet lane removed from the madness of Marrakesh.
The French owners who make their home in the riad - Isabelle and Christian - are very kind and helpful with whatever information you need. We stayed in the very comfortable Safran Room. Breakfast is delicious with homemade yoghurt, breads, fruit and cheese. The rooftop terrace is a lovely spot to relax. 
We enjoyed dinner at a great Lebanese restaurant nearby called Naranj...best to make reservations.

An oasis of calm 

Amazing place, absolutely love it - this is our third time staying at this beautiful riad!! Great location and the best breakfast:) The rooftop terrace is our favourite spot to relax - Christian and Isabelle are fantastic hosts and we will probably come back for a fourth and fifth time 😀❤
