Riad horrible dark room wet with no comfort except the place where you find this riad after half an hour from the parking lot to find it we really worked so hard I don't know why some of these places are reported on TripAdvisor anyway we don't recommend it

So we booked by phone we went with a guide to the place the door was closed we tried calling several times nothing came out the next door said it was closed anyway it's not very professional and it's not even normal that the place on TripAdvisor is closed

It was closed.

The hotel is an old house within the medina and is very well conditioned for different configurations of doubles, triples, etc. Good breakfast and many nearby places to eat or dine. The best is Fatima's attention, very kind and well prepared, helps in everything she can.

A very good option.

We spent several nights in the Riyadh of Fatima. We will keep a fabulous memory of it, not only by the decor (every corner is a treasure) but also by the warm welcome of the owner. We felt at home there, and we were able to exchange with Fatima in the evening sitting comfortably in the wonderful patio. The cleanliness is exemplary, the staff is lovely and well-groomed, the cuisine of Loubna is delicious (especially its Tajine with coins). Breakfast was a real treat, and we loved to have tea in the mint at nightfall on the terrace, overlooking the Moroccan landscape.

A real Moroccan palace

The rooms of the riad are really very beautiful and very typical. The riad is a little difficult to find in the medina because it is not indicated by signs but ask the locals and they can tell you easily.

Very nice room.

This was our first trip to Morocco and Méknes our first stop, so it was the first riad we tried. The impact was flashy, a beautiful and well-maintained building, a spacious room and overlooking a terrace from which you can see the whole medina, exceptional hospitality. Even compared to the riad that hosted us in Fés and Marrakech has nothing to envy. It is not very easy to reach but it is a characteristic common to all riad, especially if placed in a labyrinthine medina like that of Méknes. Unfortunately we could not know the owner who was out of touch due to family problems, but Khadija was a fantastic, friendly host, receptive to all our requests and has prepared a very friendly Italian breakfast.

Acceptance and suggestion

We spent only one night in this wonderful place. After having stayed in different cities and only high end luxury hotels we have mostly been dissapointed with the quality and service level we encountered throughout Morocco. When we got to Meknes we where absolutely happy with the way we have been welcomed in this Riad. Our daughter said that she felt like home and we could only agree with that. A wonderfull authentic place run by an energetic wonderfull women and great staff. For us it was a highlight of our 3 weeks Morocco tour.

One of our best experiences in our Morocco Tour

It's a very nice riad inside the medina of Meknes. The rooms are comfortable and well decorated. Fatima is very kind and hospitable. It was really a pleasure to stay there. We recommend it with our eyes closed.

Super riad is super host

This is a difficult review to write, given how kind Fatima, the owner was to us. She was very hospitable, but even her kind hospitality couldn't make up for our dilapidated room. When we first saw the room, I asked if she had another available, and she said no, this was an upgrade, and there would be no extra charge. Here's what was not good about the room: the bed was uneven on the floor, so when we sat on it it wobbled, and felt unstable; the toilet also wobbled when we sat on it; the shower head to be hand held because the bracket to hold it was broken off the wall; the ceiling and walls had pieces of paint peeling off; the electrical outlet to charge our phones was literally hanging out of the wall; the bath towels were small and very thin; we almost ran out of toilet paper and there was no extra roll; and to top it all off, the credit card terminal wasn't working so we had to find a money machine to withdraw cash pay her. On the plus side, the room heater did work, the bed was not uncomfortable as it looked, and Fatima was very kind to us. But we were so glad to get out of there! The photos are lovely and seductive. Perhaps we came on a bad day, but we would not recommend the place.

Not as lovely as pictured - What a disappointment!

It's a charming gift from Fatima, always looking to do us a favor. She speaks French and will help you organize your visits. Breakfast is plenty and good. There's a nice terrace.
