Was fortunate enough to have a section of my bachelor trip with this tour operator in October 2020.  Entire experience was top notch.  Everyone was super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating as we had a unique schedule.    From start to finish it was magically exotic.   The campsite was gorgeous and the food was delicious!   Beautiful evening with bonfire and drum circle was a nice surprise too.  Highly recommend Riad Desert Camel.

Best Bachelor Trip Ever

Yousef and mohamed with the team are the nicest, they are the one who run the hotel and they are honest with prices. The trips they are awesome, we got to see how the locals are and see the nature surrounding. I have amazing time with them. If you are planning doing trips in merzouga, don't think twice just go with them. 

Best trip in Morocco 

Our stay was a splendid one,the riad is in the city centre close to restaurants and the market itself. Max, the host, was super helpful and aided us in organising our trip to Merzouga desert. The riad is very quiet,clean and very pretty, getting you into the Moroccan atmosphere. We also had amazing breakfast in the morning which was traditional of the place. Would definitely revisit myself and recommend to anyone staying in Fez.

Super stay in Fez

Youssef, our guide was very great and funny. The camel ride into the desert was nice, and the sunset beautiful. Sandboarding was fun, the dinner delicious.  You wont forget the night in the desert, the sky with all the stars is just magical. In the early morning we enjoyed the sunrise before returning to the riad, where we had  breakfast. 
I would totally recommend!

Wow, what an experience!

Don’t think twice just go ahead and book Riad Desert Camel! You will be well taken care of by Yousef, Mohammed, and their team. These guys are the most genuine, hard working, funny people we met during our travel in Morocco!! We spent one night at their riad and one night at the camp. Riad is very nice, clean, and comfortable with all your basic amenities. There was a sand storm the day we were leaving for the camp and these guys went out of their way to make sure we still have a great time given the circumstances. The food they served was one of the best we had during our trip. We will highly recommend Riad Desert Camel to anyone looking for an authentic experience!! 

We also did a culture tour in Merzouga, most of it was a bit touristy but we got an opportunity to have lunch with the Nomads which was truly a humbling experience- It’s one of those things that stays with you for your lifetime...a must do if you have some time in merzouga!!

Best time! 

My husband and I stayed two nights with Riad Desert Camel during our honeymoon in Morocco. We had the most amazing time. Youssef sent good instructions in advance and Mohammed picked us up from the main road. The Riad is somewhat outside of the centre of Merzouga but this is no problem. 

We arrived in the early morning after getting the overnight bus from Fez, we were given space to shower and change and also given breakfast in the sunshine. Mohammed took us on a 4x4 tour of the area (250 dh pp including lunch) before our camel trip started. The tour was great, and I’d definitely recommend it. 

We took camels out to one of the high dunes in Erg Chebbi where we were able to watch the sunset, then had some of the best food (and very cheap) in our stay in Morocco before bed in the small, isolated camp. We met other travellers who were very disappointed that they were staying in a large, noisy camp with lots of people that felt inauthentic. If you are looking for your own little bit of the desert - this is the place for you! 

The next day we took camels to another camp for lunch, and then again to another camp for sunset, dinner, music and dancing around the camp fire. Again we were in a small, isolated and peaceful camp that felt like we really were in the middle of the desert, rather than simply a tourist trap. 

Mohammed was so helpful with arranging onward transport, and took us to our bus in the morning after a camel ride back to the Riad, showers and breakfast. 

If you are looking for an amazing Sahara experience I really couldn’t recommend these guys more, they were funny, helpful and knowledgable and we had an unforgettable experience. 

Honeymoon in morocco

Our experience with Desert Berber Camp Fire was the best we had in Morooco! Youssef and all the other people, who organized our camping trip were kind, helpfull and funny. The camel ride into the desert took us an hour and a half. They take you deeper into the desert than others, which is great. We climbed up to one big dune for the sunset and you couldn't see the town anymore, only the dunes all around. Magical! In the evening we went sand-boarding, had tasty dinner and they played a few berber songs for us. It was hot in the tents, so Youssef made beds for us outside to sleep under the stars. I woke up at 5am and there was a million stars above, you could see the milky way.😍 In the morning we waited for the sunrise and then returned to the town, where we had delicious breakfast. 
I would really recomend! It was a really autentic experience, I doubt that any hotel can offer that, although they will charge you 100€ per person!
