Mustafa, the owner/host was very nice and welcoming even though I had act slightly unfair to his friend. The place was near beautiful and famous dunes of Merzouga. Soleil Bleu had one of the most chill lounge with many beautiful details and decorations, I felt very relaxed for sleeping outside in fresh but warm Moroccan air while looking at the stars and even though it was a hostel, it was mostly quiet and I felt my personal space in peace. The location was little weird when I arrived in dark, but in the end I was welcomed with light and tea. I only stay one night but really enjoyed my rest in Soleil Bleu.

Saharian atmosphere with a very warmhearted host

We had a great stay at Soleil Bleu in August 2017.  The highlight was the great over-night trek into the desert that they organized for us.  Our camel guide was excellent, the camp was excellent, and the food in the camp was spectacular.
We arranged pick-up from the bus, so getting to and from the accommodation to the bus was not a problem.
Our room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast included in our room price was very good, and the kittens running around to take care of business were very entertaining.  I would surely return if I were to get another opportunity.

Great budget accomodation

I just returned from 14 days in Morocco. I spent11 at Soliel Bleu! I cannot say enough about how wonderful Mostapha and his crew Ali and Badar treated me and my guest. They helped me out with the Berber language and made sure I always had anything I needed. The food they prepared was top notch. My favorite meal was breakfast, but that was because I feel in love with a flat, fried bread called Msemen. Ive traveled all over the world and this was by far one of the most comfortable and pleasant stays I have had. I will recommend Soliel Bleu to everyone who is traveling to the desert in Morocco. I will definitely be staying there again myself!

Amazing comfort, Excellent staff, and extremely knowledgeable!

My sister and I arrived at Soleil Bleu from Rissani, following a recommendation given to us by a man we met in Midelt. We figured we might as well give it a shot, as the man had been very helpful and given us many spot-on recommendations, so we took a grand taxi to the hotel (about a half hour drive from Rissani, 15 dh/person if it's full, though we just paid for a full one - 90dh) in order to do an overnight desert stay.

So glad that we did. The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, offering us a complimentary snack because they knew we'd missed lunch and making us feel very much at home. We left around 4pm to make it to the desert by sunset, riding camels along the dunes, and had a lovely evening in the tents they had set up for us (as well as a surprisingly good tagine and a great eggplant dish). We came back the next morning after watching the sunrise and had a lovely breakfast (and shower) at the hotel. Would heartily recommend.

Truly lovely  

I was told often that it was too hot and not the best time to visit the Sahara during Ramadan.  Well, I had bicycled from Barcelona over 2300 km, and this was the time I was here and I was not going to give up a once in a lifetime opportunity!  Mustafa and the Kassi Family at Soleil Bleu had been recommended to me in Midelt while I was biking through (thank you Abdul), and I found the place and the service to be more than perfect for my needs at, what I considered, a very good price.  

Be aware this is a no air conditioning occupancy, but that doesn't mean it is not luxury in it's own way.  At the price point, I considered it very a very large and relaxed atmosphere.  There was a room or two with private bath and the rest were shared.  Large courtyard with numerous places to lounge and several dining areas indoors, partly indoors, and outdoors.

Mustafa set up a desert camel excursion and a driving excursion for me.  There aren't many tourists this time of year, so I actually enjoyed the solitude, but I can't say how busy it would be other times.

Food was wonderful.
