We stayed in this hotel a couple friends, in 2 rooms for a night while we went to visit Ouzoud waterfalls. It was very good value for money, and breakfast was good. We checked out after breakfast and the manager was nice and professional. We will come back to stay if we ever come to Ouzoud

Very good value for money

Super confortable bed with delicious breakfast. It was raining and the staff where very nice to lend us an umbrella, the view from the cliff just outside is spectacular. You can ask the staff for anything you might need.

Great hotel with great staff

For the end of 2018 we (Dutch family of 4, kids 14 and 18) chose to visit Morocco. Fly to Fez and hire a car to drive our way via Meknes and Ouzoud to Marrakech.
We had booked this restaurant at home and did not have an address that our Google Maps understood. The only thing we knew that a huge hotel was recently built in front of it. So we drove from Meknes directly to the city centre of Ouzoud and we directly spotted the huge (but still empty) hotel high above the hill. We were directed a couple of kilometer back to find the right road and then missed some turns again (no signs). After arriving at a building site we had to ask around and finally found the hotel.
We had to walk a “rough” path of about 100 meters with our suitcases to the hotel. After checking in we were offered a family room and after we had a look we accepted. The view of all rooms is totally blocked so that did not influence our decision ;-(
The beds were OK, but the hotel seemed a little bit cold and there was no heating. The owner brought us some extra blankets. The bathroom was huge and with the ventilator connected to the light switch in combination with the reverberation of the room is was very noisy: no way you could use the bathroom at night without waking the others…
The breakfast was brought to us on plates: straightforward with some traditional food, a yoghurt and fresh orange juice.

Don't go for the view

I stayed here when it first opened about 3 years ago and returned just last week. Much has changed in Ouzoud with lots of construction and improvements made to the roads and whole area as more and more people discover this place. Terrasse Des Cascades riad is owned and run by a berber family who have lived in Ouzoud all their lives. They are having to adapt in the face of adversity with a big hotel being built now. But the charm of their little guest house has not changed and is as welcoming as ever with delicious family cuisine. There is a great view from the terrace overlooking the mountains and nature on the doorstep. I cannot recommend this Riad highly enough and the area is picturesque with the giant waterfalls thundering down.

Relaxing, homely and comfortable.

If you are looking for a place to stay in the village of Ouzoud, i really advise you to not stay in this Hotel " Terrasse Des Cascades ". We booked a room for 2 nights, since we get there we tried to call them many times and no one answered to us, then we found a way to get there. The people there are not friendly, and no one speaks English until the Owner comes, even him he wasnt fine, and talk very angry, then we understand that the Hotel is full of a group of Moroccans. After 1 Hour of discussion, actually 1 Hour of Faithing no solution, then we suggest to visit the town that was beautifull and go back to Marrakech.

I just want to advise the next visitors to not choise this bad place.

Don't Stay Here!

We drove to Ouzoud thinking that the GPS would lead us there, but unfortunately once you're in the centre the parking guys will try to get you to park at their spaces. If you're driving to this hotel, it has some spaces near where the premises are which is actually close to an absolutely beautiful lookout of the waterfall uphill that most people will have missed. It would be good to have a sign to the hotel like others in the area. They are building a gigantic property in front of the house, so unfortunately it's taken the view of the waterfall from the terrace probably.

We left our car by the centre just to see where the location of this place could be. After asking some locals, one of them kindly called Marijuan (one of the sons of the proprietor) to come and fetch us. Once we met up with Marijuan at a point almost on top of the hill, we were awed by the wonder of the Ouzoud waterfall. He kindly guided us to the guest house and showed us our room. He walked with my husband back to the car to show him the way up to the parking. He even went to the market with my husband to get fresh bread for dinner.

Once we were settled, we were welcomed with mint tea. By then Marijuan had also shown my husband a shortcut to the waterfalls which was great. The viewpoint from the top is truly unique and would probably be missed if we didn't live up on top. 

The wifi was available mostly in the common area and intermittently in the room. The room we had was next to the reception which was spacious and had AC as well. The one thing that could be fixed was probably the shower area which will make the floor wet. If something could be done with that then the water wouldn't spread as much. The bed is also very comfortable.

All throughout Marijuan was humourous and took care of what he did. He showed us the lounge areas as well as had a few laughs together.

The kefta tagine with Harira as starter for dinner was made by his mum was amazing. Everything was fresh and the sitting area was just across our room. The whole place is bright and airy with two lounge areas to relax.

Friendly clean comfortable family guest house close to waterfall

Clean and confortable guest house close to the waterfalls. Marwane was very kind and helpful. Great typical berber dishes for breakfast (included) and dinner (10 euros extra). We recommend this good value for money guest house.
