Tilila is in the centre of probably one of the nicest areas for hiking, climbing and natureobservation in Morocco. The building has two spacious double rooms and a nice view from the porch. I prepared my own meals in the kitchen (gas) and did my best to keep it clean. However, your host, Abdullah, is a gentle, quiet, honest, open-minded and helpful men who is a learned cook and keeps the place tidy even if someone leaves it in a mess. He will arrange meals, laundry, shopping and transport for you in the region if you asked him to. 
We did not talk about room-service and I did not want or receive any with all my stuff spread in the room. 
Prices are very reasonable, also for single travellers.
Things that other people may find worth mentioning: a) Road to Tilila/Driveway can be negotiated with a rental car but is uneven and the first time may be slightly complicated to navigate 
b) the very tidy coolers in the kitchen do insulate but were not connected to electricity in autumn, so things like joghurt or white cheese (or meat) do not last forever
c) the warm water in shower needs stimulation every couple of minutes by turning off the admixed cool water for a moment
d) the rooms are located on the lower floor and appear a little bit on the dark side when the window-curtains are closed due to dark interior walls and rather weak electrical light (some prefer it that way - I slept very well into the day if I needed)

like home for three weeks

The rooms at Auberge Tilila are large and comfortable with many personal touches from the owner and his family to make it a nice room to have as a base for the week. The hotel itself was always spotless and the washing facilities and toilet were great and very near the room. The view from our bedroom window was breathtaking looking out at the mountains and specifically "The Lions Face", a famous piece of the anti-atlas mountains. We ate at the Auberge on several occasions, and the food, in particular the Tagines cooked by the owner Abdellah, who was a chef in nearby Tafroute for 14 years, was marvellous. We were able to choose our breakfast time and dinner time and it was always on time and delicious, and eating breakfast either on the veranda in the sun under the mountains or the roof terrace with the same view, was very special. A communal/dining area is extremely comfortable with some lovely furniture, always having a backdrop of traditional Berber music. The route to the hotel from the main road is not the simplest but after you've done it once you set as it is signposted in. Abdellahs cousin Mohammed is a first class guide if you need to get to the top of the mountains, and the whole family (who live in the same village) were warm and accommodating. For a very reasonable price I can recommend this place wholeheartedly. We had a wonderful holiday because of it.

Get well looked after in and peaceful and beautiful setting

We were looking for a cottage for a day or two and we stayed six days! 
This meeting with Abdullah and his family was a joy and a delight to activate unexpectedly that Morocco and its people give us when we take a long time to open them. Hospitality and simple, and the generous people who are doing what is possible to do so that you are well and happy. Spacious apartment, friendly, everything is flawless hygiene. Are preparing meals wonderful traditional service of Fatima on the porch. We were able to discuss many topics with Abdullah, who accompanied us to the heights of the old village. Super! I would recommend this accommodation. I liked most of the meeting with this family liked a little less hot in September

You should not miss the traffic

We arrived in Tafraoute just after the Almond Festival and struggled to find somewhere to stay. We found Auberge Tillia on our second day (after camping at L'Argentier d'Ammelne who were full). It is actually in Asagour a village about 10 mins walk from the road that runs through the valley. You can drive there. Follow the arrows from the sign. Auberge Tillia is a beautiful building in being slowly restored (to a very high standard) by Abdullah and Mohammed. Currently two rooms are finished in the basement which share use of a a bathroom and a kitchen as well as a patio area looking out over the garden and palmerie. The rooms are large, well furnished and impeccably clean. The kitchen and bathroom are immaculate. Breakfast was served on the terrace and you can request an evening meal. On both occasions we stayed we had a huge and delicious tagine for two which was very cheap. It was an extremely comfortable and peaceful place to stay, great for strolling around the valley. We even saw wild boar in the palmerie below whilst we sipped our mint tea. Abdullah and Mohammed are both lovely guys and deserve your support. Probably the most enjoyable and relaxing place we stayed in Morocco. We paid 230dh for the room including breakfast and 40dh for the one evening meal (for two) and 60dh for the other.
