Very good and comfortable facilities for the place. Unfortunately, the shower water is salty because it's drawn on site. Good food, plenty of dishes. If you want to drink wine, remember to bring your bottles.

The top of the dunes

We had always spent the night in the dunes, but circumstances forced us to have a minimum of comfort, as we were living with women and children. We had already moved here for a few months, but we were on another plan. our last luxurious stay, the outstanding service, the comfortable and functional jaimas, the showers and services to be surrounded by sand, acceptable, the food even better, friendly and attentive staff and the unique environment, ideal as a base of operations to enjoy the authentic desert, away from everything and without any lack of comfort.

The perfect place.

A good quality bed, a good table, a wonderful welcome and this landscape... we are silent! In January the nights are rather cold and you could have feared a little cold without the tents.

A charming place

Welcome, well-settled, mint tea served around the fire, three good dinners, starry nights, carpet opulence, sunrise from the dunes, quad, dromadaires, happy sand...

Excellent welcome, surprise from the place, dream time, in the middle of nowhere.

After a four-hour long, grueling ride, we arrived at our large campsite. It has a nice location between the dunes and the staff are very friendly. Dinner is fine and in the evening you can hear drums and traditional songs under the open sky. But we were also very lucky as we were only 24 on the campsite night, but the next night 100 guests came!

Very romantic

We've been to the Chegaga dunes three times and it's always with great joy that we meet Naji (and her smile.....) and his team. Nice desert access to get there. A lot of professionalism in this idyllic setting. Magical sunset time on the great dunes. The table is nice and the bivouac is very nice. As long as the dunes are there we'll go back!!!!!!!

change of scenery and human heat

At 2.30am the nearest road, at the foot of the great dunes of the Chegaga erg, you can hardly imagine a more isolated place. And yet there are beds in hard boxes, surrounding a vast central space where large Berber carpets cover the floor, from where you can admire the billions of stars that the desert sky offers you. Meals are served at the table in the large restaurant, a shower and toilet building, completely renovated and in the process of complete expansion. Much too good for real adventurers, nothing is missing, and the whole team is very kind and dedicated. Don't miss the quad in the dunes, especially, Yayah's exceptional care and attention to his clients.

It's incredible.

I have traveled the world as a group meeting and incentive trip planner and this was by far one of the coolest experiences of my life. This tented camp in the middle of the Sahara desert offers you the definition of SOLITUDE, quite and a chance to learn from and live like a Berber nomadic family.  

The hosts at this tented camp has a passion for life and a hunger to host. We arrived as the sun was setting for a camel ride to the top of the sand dunes for an un-real sunset experience. Then we enjoyed a wonderful meal, wine and lovely meats all set at a linen-clad and china-decorated table. The staff then played drums and sang tribal songs for us as we enjoyed the star show. 

After dinner, we laid under the stars and enjoyed our friends for hours prior to retiring in our well-appointed tents. The bathhouse is not luxury, but is complete with sinks, european toilets and salt water showers.  

What an experience to live like a nomadic family - truly life changing.

UNREAL experience, never to top! A true "tented camp" desert experience.

My goodness, such a luxury in the desert. There were comfortable beds and even showers. The dining tent was very comfortable and the food was very good. We were there at a photo workshop. The location is fantastic. The dunes are really fascinating.

Unlike the Erg Chebbi, the nomadic tents are conveniently located on the sand dunes of the Erg Chegaga and are easily accessible by the indicated coordinates with land-worthy vehicles.
