Very friendly owner and staff. They offered to pick us up from the bus station which arrived late evening and took us to the accommodation. We sat down with the owner and were offered tea and had a chat before going to our room. The room was small and basic with a separate bathroom. The bed had a mosquito net around it which was welcome. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent. Good wifi signal outside but not in the room. Plumbing in bathroom didn't work.

Very friendly and authentic experience

There are very few places like the palm tree. If we were to define what is the meaning of Moroccan hospitality and hospitality c it is right here in this family hostel that we will find the perfect example there are probably three more comfortable places...but you will find in the palm tree something much more precious.Grace has its staff, its geographical framework and above all in Brahim you will find in the palm tree the true sense of agility and hospitality that will make you love Morocco and feel really good.

Some place where you feel so good

Good chef's tailings, well-organized tours, improvised musical evenings, nothing better to ask for this hostel at the gates of the desert. A 4x4 tour was organized to Erg Chigaga where it was possible to spend the night in a bivouac and take a stroll.

Very welcoming staff

With Auberge de la Palmeraie as a base you can relax and enjoy all that the property has to offer - delicious fresh food, friendly people, comfortable lodgings and a peaceful environment. But also available when staying at Palmeraie is an amazing desert adventure!

 My seven day booking included a five day trekking desert excursion, following a part of the ancient camel caravan route. If you have thought about visiting the desert then I highly recommend booking with Stephanie and Brahim at Palmeraie.

With two expert guides and a couple of pack camels we trekked to the giant dune Erg Chigaga. Three delicious meals a day plus water and tea were provided. A tent is also provided but I recommend camping out under the stars, it is an incredible feeling! Along the way, my guides taught me about the surprising variety of plants and animals that call the desert home, including the elusive Fennec (desert) fox. Save a little space in your pack as there are fossils, minerals, and pottery shards to be found. Each day offered something new to see, shifting sands, rocky plains and unbelievable skies.

My trip to Palmeraie and the Moroccan Sahara was the highlight of my six weeks in Morocco. I will simply say, book it, you won't be disappointed.

An Oasis, Literally and Figuratively

Very nice hostel, very nice room, the family that takes care of the place is very attentive and offers activities and hikes in the desert, in the evening campfires and music.

Expenditure

The palm tree hostel perfectly arranged the bivouac for us in the Chigaga desert. 4x4 comfortable, careful driver, beautiful scenery. I won't talk about bivouac itself since the service was contracted. At the same hostel we had lunch on the day J and the next day to the rhythm of the Sahara music in a warm atmosphere. Doha and Mohamed welcomed us beautifully, thank you ++++ to them. Do not hesitate to sleep on site, it is simple but charming. A very good address that I highly recommend.

Typical, authentic and warm

They have a very nice outdoor area with mantas and lanterns and even a telescope to see the stars.You have to be careful with the water in the shower because it ends suddenly!We were recommended a camel tour of the desert (sleeping outdoors or in an under-the-sky store with a starry dinner and breakfast included) very good.

Good price-quality ratio

Everything was very clean and the breakfast was excellent. we took this little house to travel to the desert and I was afraid it would be a disaster. private bathroom included inside our room. the only problem is that the sheets were getting too wet and we had to sleep with a lot of clothes for the heat.

Awesome place Berber style camp and rooms. I was sleeping on a bed under the stars. Magic !!!. Extremely friendly and very good food. Cooked by the guys !. I was a bit outside season so I had the camp by myself. Safe Motorcycle and bicycle parking.

Sleeping under the Stars

We went on a family trip with a bivouac of one night in the desert with Brahim and Mohamed. When we arrived in La Palmeraie, we hadn 't eaten and Ptissam kindly prepared us a small meal on the thumb. Then we left for the desert with a back of dromedaries, we were the only guests (which, to me, is the ultimate luxury!) our guides prepared the camp, a wood-fired dinner and we slept at the beautiful star after a good-natured wake.
