It was amazing experience to stay in this beautiful house in Kasba, Tangier. The staff and management were extremely warm and helpful. The breakfast at rooftop was an added attraction, staying here was like time travel. Will get back to this place whenever I can.

Wonderful chez habitant.

We absolutely loved our stay at Tanger Chez Habitant.  Right in the heart of the old town, the views were spectacular, the decor was stylish and authentic and the bedroom super comfy and warm (we were there at the end of November).  Noor was the perfect host, preparing wonderful breakfasts, being there if we needed him and a really good source of information when we needed advice.  Fantastic, we will definitely visit again.

Stylish and authentic guest house

I spent 3 nights here and could not have been mor satisfied.  The location is perfect.  High up right off Kasbah Street - close enough to walk to Kasbah, sightseeing attractions，restaurants and shopping.

The guest house offered everything I desired - safe, clean, air conditioned, hot showers, nice continental breakfast on the 4th floor terrace.

The owner, Hafida and assistant Noor couldn’t have been more hospitable.  Noor walked down the alley to greet me and take my suitcase when the driver couldn’t find the address (driver’s problem not guest house).  I was served mint tea and biscuit on arrival, asked my breakfast time preference etc.  they were always there to answer questions and provide directions.   Noor has perfect English.

The place is small with 3 suites.  I was in the first suite which had a double bed (there was a second bedroom I didn’t check).  
Lounge and bath with shower.  The place has been modernized and has the loveliest rugs which make me want to go buy some!

I would highly recommend if you are looking for something local and homey.  I would definitely return-（and I will as they stored my luggage as I travel a week deeper into Morocco with only a backpack).  I enjoyed Tangiers and it’s a lovely city.

Delightful

Tanger Chez Habitant is a very nice place. We spent there our first night in Marocco and then came back after one week for our last night - it felt like going back home! On the first night, we were assigned the room on the last floor. It was very spacious and well-furnished and the bed was confortable. Breakfast was served on the beautiful terrace. It was amazing! When we came back in Tanger on our last night we had a smaller room with a small private terrace. We experienced moroccan hospitality at its finest: Hafida (I did not have the chance to meet her but we exchanged emails), Nor and all the staff were super nice and helped us with all our requests (for example, arranging taxi transfer to and from the airport). Nor kindly checked us in very late, around midnight, and arranged a tasty breakfast-to-go when we left very early in the morning. We totally recommend this place and we will surely stay here again when we will come back to Tanger!

Cozy stay in Tanger

Amazing location and great and attentative staff. The best thing about this place is the staff. The room and washroom were clean. The washroom could use a upgrade but that is my option.

For the price a definite must.

Loved it

This is a great place to stay in Tangier, right in the heart of the old town near the Kasbah. You can walk to all the major attractions within 15 mins.  

There are two floors, each with 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 single).  Each floor also has a small lounge area and  bathroom.  And there is a balcony and roof terrace with superb views across the city.  It's an old house, but beautifully renovated and decorated, with interesting works of art.  We rented both floors for a party of 5.  There is also a balcony area and roof terrace with superb views across the city.  

Olivier and Hachim are perfect hosts, very welcoming and helpful, and they provide a lovely breakfast.  Our ferry was cancelled and they were very understanding and we were able to  stay an extra night. Highly recommended.
