The road through the spectacular gorge was so bad, that we thought we had made a mistake in trying to stay here.  However!….. a real find.  Simple spotless and modern accommodation, with a from but comfy bed, good shoes we, even if the hot tap is cold, and vice versa but have found that often in Morocco.  Stunning night sky, as no pollution.  Blissfully quiet …. Well until the donkeys’ braying let us know they had turned up for the road works, but that was the next morning, so can’t grumble!  Really nice evening meal, and an excellent breakfast including with some delicious mountain honey, for the small pancakes.  Scenery breathtaking.  We didn’t go back down the gorge, but went on to Taza, which was a much easier route.  Would be a wonderful centre for hiking,

A simple, little gem, off the beaten track,

We made a reservation about 1 month in advance. As it was raining, the owner closed the hotel and went home. We arrived at 22:00. We called owner which denied having a reservation for that day and advised us to drive back to Taza, having just driven through it, which added another 1 hour on a 8 hour drive. All we wanted was a phone call the day before advising us he had cancelled the booking. Avoid at all cost during low season. Find a serious alternative in the town.

Everything was absolutely fantastic, I Stayed for 9 nights, I found Everything perfect and had no problems with anything. The food was also very good in the restaurant hotel and room and all services. 
Really I Simply liked everything in this hotel.

Tazekka Parc Hotel was the perfect escape from all the city travelling I had been doing. In the middle of a tiny village, and surrounded by beautiful peaks, it was great to unwind spend days reading and relaxing, and of course hiking the many, beautiful trails or Tazekka National Park. 

The Owner, Mr Abderahim came to pick me up at the train station (about 40 minutes drive away) and waited for me as I bought groceries at the Carrefour next to the station. Word of advice, buy all you  food in Taza before going into the park, as there are no stores whatsoever, just a little roadside stand with soft drinks and chips. The hotel has a fully furnished kitchen for you to cook your food and prepare your lunch for your hikes. They also have an option to cook for you but I was happy to cook my own food. The included breakfast was simple, similar to all the other breakfasts I have had in Morocco: toast, crepes, cheese, honey, jam, coffee, juice etc 

The rooms are modern, super clean with private bathrooms, and good hot showers. The only downside is that they have no AC, which was hot in August, but should not be a problem the rest of the year. 

They do not have Wifi, which is actually really nice if you are coming for nature. I really disconnected, read a lot, and walked at least 15 Km a day.

Mr Abderahim was really nice throughout. He would drive me to the trails I wanted to do and come pick me up when I needed to. He also sat down with me at the end of the day to sip on our mint tea, look at the mountains and talk about the world. 

Overall it was an amazing experience, very different from the rest of Morocco, which was very welcomed during my long trip.

Great hotel with excellent service in the heart of a magnificent national park.

We had to stop overnight at this place but it took us a long time to find and reach from the A2 highway. The rooms  were new, clean and well furnished but there was no AC or fan so we couldn't sleep due to the excessive heat. We also had dinner at the hotel because there were simply no other choices. Despite the delicious meal we found the prices similar to those charged at a Paris/London or other european capitals. Our room was right on top of the reception area and we could hear voices all night long as well as from a not far little grocery shop around the corner. The owner was kind and welcoming and the food was delicious.

too far for an overnight stop

The main,and for me,only con of the hotel was the heating,it didnt work properly,our room was big and temperatures there in winter are very low. Also water heating didnt work as expected,so our stay wasn't very comfortable in that sense. Ask for dinner there,big portions,tasty and quite cheap. The staff tries to do their best.
