Everything was great except that their restaurant was closed and of course no breakfast. I would have loved to try their dishes. Read a lot of reviews about their restaurant. It was also a little hard to get to the city and everything we knew was closed. We even ended up buying snacks for our dinner on the full moon day because we didn’t find anything open.

Nice hotel by the river

After city border lockdown we decided to come here. We were the only guests. Staffs are very nice. Accommodating and very much in control of the pandemic . They make sure you wash your hands before checking in. Also checked for body temperature. Our stay is lovely. They gave us villa 201 and we couldn't ask for more. Calm and place for solitude. Hotel is close to town too. Overall, staff, resort and food is very 5* service and quality. We will definitely come back and stay here in the future.

Great quality time and great hotel

This was another place made up of rustic cottages. There were about 20 cottages that were a 1-min walk opposite the reception, and another 8 or 10 cottages behind the reception. Location is across the river from the town, just beside a local village of about 20 or 30 houses. You could drive a long way from town or use the boat for the short 5-minute crossing. 

The cottage was spacious enough. Wifi signal was strong in my cottage; not sure if it was because i was just opposite the reception. Amenities were provided in environmentally friendly packages or ceramic pots instead of plastic bottles. They placed a vase of beautiful jasmine flowers which left a really nice scent in my room on the first night. There was a patio outside each cottage with a bench overlooking the river where you can enjoy the sunset. 

Staff were friendly and spoke decent English. Didn't get her name, but the young lady at the reception was really friendly and helpful. There was no other place to eat near the hotel so dinner on both nights was there and the restaurant service was prompt even if they had to specially whip up whatever i ordered. I was the only guest at the hotel for 2 nights so i felt kinda bad that they all had to standby for me. 

The only minor issue i had was that there were (dead) cockroaches the 2 nights i was there. The hotel probably put roach poison somewhere and I think the gully trap cover probably had holes large enough for the roaches to crawl out from. The first night the dude in my toilet promptly flipped onto its back when i entered the toilet. Cue my panicked call to the reception and 2 guys came to remove it very quickly. The next morning there was one already on its back in the toilet so i left it there for housekeeping. Ditto the next morning. The good thing is they were all dead and not alive. 

Cockroaches aside, this was a relaxing and peaceful hotel to stay in. 

Charming cottages by the river

This is a nice, little resort on the river. Our room was very nice and the breakfast was very good. We were exhausted from a long day including train travel over the Goteik Viaduct (highly recommended) so we didn’t get to try the restaurant for which was a shame given the quality of the breakfast. 

We Liked It!

Resort is located at the river side so you can hear the noise of the boat at the early morning. We have too much expectations before we arrive this resort . The breakfast is too simple not even the 3 stars standard . The environment of the stay not bad 、 the staffs are friendly. Overall experiences is Ok .
