We arrived late in the evening and the staff were kind and prepared dinner for us.  It was quite good.
The rooms are dated and very basic.  Most of the hotel seemed that way.
It was clean and the staff met our needs.
The view from the hotel was amazing.
It is a place to stay high above Pokhara.

Staff and owners are great but facilities need updating

Well if you are here for the view then that's the only thing you will get ... rooms are extremely cold totally not suitable for families with young children... hot water not working and you are getting charged if you ask a bucket of hot water... Then be very careful of your bills ... We and our friendd have been charged for silly things (water for the grog for instance, full wood cost for a fire for which the cost was supposed to be shared between us and other guests as it was for new year eve...) and the response from the personal for the dishonesty was "I have to feed my family...".... very sad behaviour.... the food itself was more expensive and lesser quality than the village resort adjacent to the sherpa resort... But you get the view....

Terrible... apart for the view

The place is amazing for a view but the rooms are damp and cold there's no hot water, the heaters aren't of any use too in December winter. The staff is a bit rude and not helpful. But again, the view is breathtaking.

Cold water with brilliant view

This place is very dated no mod cons so if that's what you want don't come here but if you want a view that's superb host that treat you like family and good food this is a great place and as for value for money you won't get a view anywhere else in the world for this price very cheap.It is a very quite area with some great walks but once the sun goes down there is not a lot to do.

Vintage

Enjoyable stay in a clean comfortable small hotel with excellent food. And what a delight to have a view of Machhapuchare and the Annapurnas without even getting out of bed! But it is worth getting out of bed at sun-up to walk up to the view other for the best vista

Wonderful mountain vista from your bed

Based on pictures and location, this seemed a great place to stay at and we did not mind booking a room for $30 a night thinking that it offered a view of the mountains.
However, once we arrived here, it was disappointing all through. There was no one to help us with our bags, check us in at the reception or even offer a welcome drink. The place was quite disheveled and unkempt with old cushions and dusty furniture in all the common areas. The rooms and corridors felt dark and damp.

The only consolation in our room was the view it offered of the mountain behind but the rest of it was hard to put up with. Basic facilities like charing points aren't provided in the room (except for one right near the floor at the foot of the door). The bathroom was dismal with unclean surfaces, no faucet or bucket/mug and no real hot water despite their massive board up front that claims "hot showers" using solar technology. There was no cupboard or safe in the room for us to store belongings except for a small table. The quilts were covered in bird feathers and felt quite dusty and cold.

I asked if I could borrow an umbrella since I have an allergy from too much sunlight and they did not even help with that. Staff was always in their own world, answering questions as if doing us a favor and though we got prompt service, it felt very awkward even though we were paying for all of it. They would talk to us in brisk, short sentences and wander off into their own world instead of standing with the guest to help.

When the rest of the town shuts down at night, they don't even offer a menu for dinner for their own guests claiming that the kitchen is closed and can only offer some rice. Our biggest saving grace was the Bhanjyang Village restaurant next door that was the polar opposite of this place both in terms of facilities, decor and service.

PROS:
Good view if you take the corner room overlooking the mountains.

CONS:
Everything else about the place!

Overall, by far the worst choice we made for a total of $60 for 2 nights when we could have stayed in other places in Sarangkot to admire the quiet and calm better.
