Booked this property due to good reviews 4 months prior to scheduled stay for a birthday surprise. Host cancelled our stay 13 days before arrival and I have still not received a refund for the stay almost a month later. This left us with nowhere to stay, most places booked up & £350 out of pocket. Would not book again!

Booked 3 days in Amsterdam for my Birthday and was not disappointed.  Great city with a really relaxed vibe and lots to do and see.  Stayed at Guest House Citydrop which was perfect location for everything we wanted to do.  Nothing was more than a 20 minute walk.  
Our room was comfortable, clean and perfect location.

Birthday weekend break

We went from Monday 4th Feb to the 7th, got the train from the airport to the central then the tram which stopped basically right at the hotel, you can walk from central which is about a 20 min walk but it was raining the day we got there and just wanted there fast. Lovely little place, our room was the one at the very top. I wouldn’t say it was a hotel as it only has 3 rooms which one room the owner stays in and they only refresh your towels. We were there for 4 days and they only emptied our bin once & didn’t make our bed saying that though the room was very clean & so was the bathroom and we had to ask for extra sugar for our coffee as they don’t check, we also didn’t have any fruit that it states you get on your welcome and when we checked out and walked by the other room the maid was cleaning it and there was fruit sat out. Our room was a good size and warm also as it rained our full trip, the bed was really hard and so were the pillows. The stairs are very steep but that’s just Amsterdam houses for you! We had no bother walking up and down them but just keep in mind they are steeeeep!! 
We walked everywhere when we were there, everything is walking distance. They’re so many restaurants near the hotel too.
Out of 10 I would rate it 7/10! 

Good Location

This is a simple guesthouse in the heart of a huge city. Close to all the big attractions and seconds away from coffee shops and bars. However there was minimal noise and we slept well in a big comfy bed. The room is simple and like most old rooms could be modernized. But we got free cable tv in the room and it was clean, tidy and comfortable. The owner is lovely and welcoming.

Amazing Stay

We went to Amsterdam for a festival and by all accounts from our friends we got the best accommodation. Lovely big room with ensuite, clean and very well equipped. There was a fridge which is always a bonus, especially when you drink lots of tea but what I found especially great was that there were 2 comfy chairs to relax on, so often you get hard plastic chairs or often none at all so you have to relax on the bed. Great plus for me. Excellent location near the flower market, plenty of choices of places to eat and drink. There is a Supermarket on the corner of the street for supplies and it is really close to tram stops so travelling here from Schiphol was easy and no expensive taxi is necessary! Marius is really friendly and helpful, he looked after our cases once we had checked out and even posted 2 jackets to me that I left behind, at no charge, as much as I tried to pay! We would definitely stay again if we were to visit Amsterdam again.

Excellent stay!

Stayed here with my Boyfriend in Feb 2018! The owner was very kind and let us drop our bags in the room before we checked in. Prior to our stay, we had found it easy to contact him via email. He was very kind and happy to help if we needed any advice. The room was very modern and had all the amenities needed. We stayed on the middle floor and had easy access to our ensuits bathroom. The bed was spacious and it was great to have plug sockets next to the bed, on either side.

Great value for money

The guest house is in a typical Amsterdam house which we really liked (in spite of the steep stairs). The host was friendly and helpful and the room was fine with everything we wanted and in a great location.

Lovely guest house, perfect location and pleasant host

Great stay at this lovely place in Amsterdam. This modern decor room is located on top floor of a 16th century house in Central Amsterdam right next to the flower market with walking distance to the bustling Rembrandtplein and the beautiful canal areas. The room is very clean and tidy. The owner is very friendly and helpful who provides lots of tourist information to us. We really enjoy our stay here and would definitely recommend this apartment to others!

Great stay

A small but charming guest house sleeping two parties. Marius is a wonderful host as he gleefully lugs your suitcase up the steep stairs.  Just next to the Flower Market, it is convenient to restaurants and other businesses.  There are new double paned windows which keeps nearby noise down.  There are two rooms only, and Marius is on the premises as well for any issues you might have (like going to the post office to mail things home!) Recommend it!

16 th Century House

It is located just right next to flower market in the center. Easy to walk around to most of sights, shops and restaurants . The room is big and comfortable with a lot of lights, beautiful , clean and tidy. Marius is a great host . He is kind, friendly and helpful. Definitely a good choice to stay in Amsterdam . Will come to stay at his bnb again next time . Highly recommended to everyone .
