The room are in needs a deep clean, the floor is stained, and the wall is stained (a hand print!!! In dark brown: maybe blood or something worse?),. The curtains are ripped and dirty, The windows are very dirty so much that you cannot touch them! Disgusting! 
The worst is that the mattress and pillow did not have a protector that could be washed, meaning the bed and pillows were stained and very very revolting dirty. 

We could not sleep on it and they changed us for 2 nights in another room, we discovered that they anyway were able to fit 2 people in the same room the same night, so not much cleaning happened (how they could have cleaned and fit new costumers in such as little time?) also because we found some stains on the wall and on the floor still. 

The bathrooms seem fairly renovated, so hopefully the bedrooms will be next. The room booked was very small and as we were travelling a lot around Europe barely fit our luggage, no idea why a sink was in the middle of the room ( why? the bathroom was big enough to fit the sink, and also seems new? why they didn't fit the sink there and then have more room in the bedroom!?). They said that the pandemic ( 2 years ago) did not allow them to have the money to repaint... what about cleaning?  Wipe the brown handprint walls with some bleach, and dust and wash the windows... not very costly. New mattresses and pillows cost not much in Ikea and are the basics of any hotel! Avoid this place.

Dirty, just very dirty avoid

What a great hotel! Location couldn’t be better, room is beautiful and spacious with a great view, the bar has a great atmosphere and the staff are friendly. Great that they’ll store your luggage too. Can’t recommend enough for vacationers and backpackers alike.

Beautiful room, great location, immaculate vibes

Stopped by here for a few drinks and played dominoes, enjoyed it that much we returned again. The bar staff were brilliant and I imagine this place to be brilliant and cosy  in the winter. The steps to the toilets are very steep! Really nice place, don’t think they do food which is a real shame.

Bar staff were so lovely and very helpful. Excellent location and great value for money for us students! Although the bathroom and shower was a shared facility, they were clean and kept in great condition. Room was just what we needed (you can smoke in it if you’d like although we didn’t). All around great bar and hotel - would highly recommend :)

Hotel International = unreasonable and unlawful non-refundable policy. We were unable to go because of the lockdown and flight cancellation and they insist on a non-refundable policy. Stop taking advantage at a time like this. We are going to find a way to report you to Netherland government for unlawful business practices.

Unreasonable and Unlawful

We called the hotel manager regarding our booking from March 16-20 and updated how we are unable to go because of the global pandemic. We also contacted and emailed Agoda shortly after. Our country implemented a lockdown on March 15 and Turkish Airlines‘ flights were cancelled. The person we talked to assured us a full refund. After two weeks, we were surprised when Agoda emailed us that the Hotel didn’t agree to give us a refund since the said booking was non-refundable and tagged us a no-show. Hotel International and their partner Agoda is insisting on their policy even with the global pandemic. This is unbelievable and unacceptable. They are basically saying that “if we are open and you can’t be there, then that’s your problem.“ What kind of establishment is this?

Their policy in the face of a global pandemic? “No show, no refund. That’s not our problem if you can’t show up.”

Me and my friend stayed for 3 nights in a clean twin room. We had to share bathroom and shower but we did not mind, as it was always free when we needed it. Also the staff is so friendly, polite and helpful! Really enjoyed my stay there. Definately recommend if you don't want to stay in a hostel! To add that there's food places, coffee shops and supermarket seconds away!

Perfect location and price!

I'm giving this hotel a "Very good" rating based on the price and location. We were trying to stay for cheap near the center of the city with four people, but that's difficult to do if you don't to stay in a true hostel. This was a great compromise. The location was excellent, easily stumbling distance from all the action. The check-in process was simple, as was the check-out process. The room itself...was fine. Definitely budget lodging, and all our clothes smelled of stale cigarettes for the rest of the trip, but like I said, you can't find better. You share a bathroom and shower with the people on your floor. People complain about the noise from the street, but we were there to have a good time, so we stayed out until those people were ready for bed as well. Biggest perk? The bar downstairs is an excellent little pub.

Budget lodging for our group

It’s just less 10mins walk from Central Station. Less 15mins walk to famous canals and red light district. Many restaurant options nearby and bars etc. You just need to approach the staff in the bar to get your key. The main door to go up to the room is just beside. If you have huge luggage with you then I dont advise to book this room because the stairs is really high and difficult to carry heavy things. But I like the room its cute and clean also bed is fine. Have available hair blower and clothes iron. Towels and few soap and shampoo also have. No aircon just have small mini fan. Everyday someone will get the trash and clean some stuffs. Its easy to check out too just return the key to the bar downstairs.
