Dont book!! Terrible. Dirty, small, old, need cleaning and upgrade. Expensive compared to what you get. We had to cancel, as it was disgusting. We did not get any money back or any other kind of compensation. We also ordered a double bed, But got a small 1,20 bed for two adult friends. See pictures. Stay away!!

The hotel is in a great location- an easy 20 minute walk to the centre and far enough out that is it quiet at night. It was basic but very clean and all we needed for a few nights away when all we used it for was somewhere to sleep.hotel is in a great location- an easy 20 minute walk to the centre and far enough out that is it quiet at night. The staff were lovely and David on reception was very welcoming and looked after us well. The hotel were very helpful in letting us move our dates due to COVID- I will be recommending then to everyone I know going to Amsterdam!

Perfect for a few nights away

Location alone is worth the stay. The staff is pleasant, the rooms are fine, the bathrooms are clean (depending on your roommates), the lounge area is fine, and the hostel provides tons of information on the city and activities.
All of this pales in comparison to this hostel's location. Walking to the Rijksmuseum is a joke - just a few minutes. And if you rent a bike, you can be at Van Gogh, Vondelpark, Rijksmuseum, Heineken Experience,  the bars, the theatres, and the major canals faster than you can comprehend. It is situated so conveniently. Every time I have returned to Amsterdam I have tried to book here and I can NEVER beat the location. It is at the center of everything (except for Anne Frank's House, but this is generally distant from the other major sites and still only takes bout 20 minutes to bike tops). 
If you are a backpacker, easy traveler, visiting with friends, or seeing Amsterdam for the first time, I definitely recommend it.

INCREDIBLE location, fine hostel.

Euphemia hotel is only 4 minutes by metro from the Central station, and within easy walking distance to many attractions.  The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.  The room was very clean and quiet, with enough space for our bags.  We were in a triple room with 3 twin beds.

Great location, close to the metro and the centre of the city.

Booked this hostel for 4 nights but left a night early because of the amount of bed bug bites we got. We ended up paying a lot of money for another hotel last minute and spending our final day in Amsterdam washing and drying everything to make sure we were free from the bed bugs. The sheets were white and we woke up with blood stains from the bites and poop stains from the bugs. There are multiple reviews about this problem from 2018-2013 but I wish there was a recent review!!!! Although this location and price is excellent DO NOT stay here!

BED BUGS!!

Came here with my girlfriend, wasn’t expecting much for such a cheap price but I was pleasantly surprised. The location is fantastic, either a short walk or an even shorter tram journey to central Station. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Overall the experience was great and the staff were friendly and approachable. Would highly recommend.

Can’t fault it

It’s in centre of Amsterdam. In front of there are many bars and restaurants. In front of the entry oh this hostel you can find the bus stop and the metro. 
Good hostell! Absolutly recommended if you want to visit this lovely city.

Good hostel

I had a lovely staying in Amsterdam with some other girlfriends.
We had a 4 people room with private bathroom.
Obviously since it is an hostel , the room was quite tiny but clean and perfect for our needs.
Price is fair above all beacuse of the central position from where you can easily reach many of the main attractions even by walk or, anyway, bus-metro stop is just at the opposite side.
Nice staff and helpful check-in/out.
A little suggestion, light into the room the a
should be brighter, you can change the light bulb with a clearer one.
Girls need to make  up.

Perfect position

You get what you pay for. Me and 4 other friends stayed in a 10bed mixed room. The room was split in two with 2 bunk beds in one room and 3 in the other separated by an archway with a shower room/toilet to share. Rooms and bedding were clean and simple just what you need. Could rent a towel for 1€ and also had to put a deposit down on each key for 10€. I took a padlock and the lockers were more than big enough for a carry on case and backpack. Reception were helpful also. Tram stop/ metro right outside and 2 mins to supermarket/pubs/heineken

Great value for money

We paid far too much for our stay here. We weren’t expecting much, but at the very least we were expecting basic, clean, and semi- comfortable rooms. What we got was a decrepit furnace. The room was so hot that we didn’t sleep under the sheets once. (I know, it’s summer time, but this was the hottest building we went into during our stay and the widows only opened a couple inches). To be honest, I’m glad we didn’t sleep under the sheets because we woke up each morning with mysterious bug bites. I would advise the staff to take a serious look at their rooms for bed bugs before they allow the next round of guests to stay. 

On top of all this, the creepy bad vibes guy working the front desk was standoffish and rude. We dreaded returning to this hell hole every night. Again, we weren’t expecting much, but this was an awful place to stay. One star is generous given the price charged. The location, however, is really good. That is the only thing this stinky Dutch oven has going for it. 

If you’re considering staying at the euphemia hotel, don’t.
