Stayed here 3 nights with my daughter, in the third floor suite.  It was absolutely gorgeous, very clean, spacious, and had a wonderful view.  The location was terrific!  We did not take advantage of the breakfast on offer, so I can't speak to that but I have no doubt it would have been lovely, the breakfast/hospitality area was very nice.  
The photos were exactly like the room, wonderful wide plank floors and huge windows. Fresh flowers in the common areas and at bedside, big bookcase with variety of reading materials plus local tourist info. 
Yes the steps are steep, as described ...part of the charm to me. But Tijn made it a point to meet us on arrival and carried the bags up, and also offered to come early the day we left to help us bring them own.  And yes, there is some painting going on at the house next door.  It didn't bother us at all, and honestly, it's a city and close quarters and others' work has to get done despite the fact that I am on vacation! 😂

Wonderful!!

I agree with other reviewers comments. Very good views, very good location. Clean. Very steep stairs. Unfortunately during our stay building work to the next house was being carried out. This break was for our 30 th Wedding Anniversary.......so  we wanted a lovely relaxing break. The first afternoon we arrived there was loud drilling within a few feet of our room. We were woken the next morning at 07.30 am by loud drillng and workmens radio and talking. I notified owner immediately. The next day ....we were allowed a half hour lie in until 08.00 before  loud building work commenced........ unsympathetic reply from owner. I was annoyed that we were not informed of building work. Had we been informed we would have cancelled our booking. The owner  insisted that he didn't know in advance. We asked for some compensation for inconvenience., perhaps some euros taken off the bill. At this request he laughed and said this was impossible. This break was spoilt by very poor customer service.

ANNOYED NOT INFORMED OF NOISY  BUILDING WORK

What a beautiful surprise this lovely bed & breakfast was! Gorgeous view from spacious rooms, which provide the space of an apartment. The decorating detail is amazing and provides an intimate setting of private accommodations. One should know these historic houses have high, narrow and extremely steep stairs between floors, so packing light and wearing flat shoes is a must. The owner's passion for design is evident, all furnishings are beautiful. The beds are heavely by all standards. Price, product and service are aligned. Breakfast is generous and beautifully arranged. Definitely recommend it over and over! Parking in a garage several streets away.

A fabulous Jewel in the Dutch Venice

Beautful accomodation, even the stairs !! We stayed for 2 nights but were so sad to leave!! 5 min walk to house of Anne Frank, restaurants, shops and even to the Dam it's no big deal!! Marilijn received us with all her kindness and served us a divine breakfast on our last morning, while we asked our question at "the book" ;-) 
We surely come back soon...

Absolutely perfect stay.  The location could not be better.  The host were not intrusive at all but always there when needed.  The view was amazing.  The bathroom was amazing.  Breakfast was well worth the 15 euro per person and was fresh and plentiful.

I highly recommend this b+b and we will 100% be back at some time in the future.
