We stayed for 2 nights, the last night of October and the first night of November. Officially they were closed in November, but they told us we could stay and facilities were available. We travelled by Camper (RV) and used the toilets and showers at the campsite. They were clean on the first day, not so much by the time we left. Besides us, there were some other guests working on their boats, chalets, etc. doing their end of season cleaning. Staff were friendly, facilities available and working, so we were happy to be able to stay here for 2 night at off-season rate.

We had problems with this structure since we booked via Booking.com. We chose a double bedroom in the bene and breakfast, but the staff told us that the room was not available and asked us to change it with a chalet for 6 people at the same price. Meanwhile the double room that we had booked before continued to appear as available on Booking.com. We asked if the staff could guarantee all the services of the double room also in the chalet and they ddi not answer for one day. So we called Booking.com and we had an answer: the staff guaranteed that all the services would have been available and told us that the chalet would have been an upgrade for us. When we arrived, we were given a plastic small house, with a small kitchen, a huge living-room and three very small bedrooms. Every bedroom had two small beds which seemed to be train bunks. So we had asked for a double room and we were given a chalet with a huge living-room (unuseful for us) and a very small bedroom. The chalet was not regular too, because the ground was higher in the living-room than in the bedroom. We had also to ask for activating the gas in the kitchen, because the staff hadn’t done it before. Some dishes were dirty, so we had to wash them. There were no towels, so we had to go to the reception to ask for them and we had small ones, totally unfit for drying a huge body like mine (195 cm). One of them was dirty too. In the first day the boiler was off and we had to have cold showers. The problem was solved only the day after. The beds were too small to sleep well and the pillows were too soft, so we had two very bad nights. In the second day it started to rain and the chalet got cold. From the window of the toilet it rained inside. We also rented two bikes and they were not good at all. I had problems with mine, because the seat went suddenly down and I risked to fall on a little bridge near Giethoorn. What about breakfast? In the first morning my girlfriend ate a croissant and she had a stomach ache.
