This was the perfect spot to stay after the first 80 miles of our 500-mile bike ride through Northern Europe. A secure place for our bikes, cozy rooms, and a wonderful restaurant and bar run by a delightful, friendly couple. They sent us off with a delicious breakfast and even offered to fill up our water bottles and keep them in the fridge for us! I'd go back anytime, for sure.

Friendly and Comfortable Place

We didn't stay at the hotel but had dinner at the restaurant and it was a fantastic meal. Food was really tasty and good portions. Nice setting and the owners are lovely people. I'd stayed in the hotel under previous ownership and the change in the place is amazing. Made so much nicer, they showed me a room and it was 1000% better than when I stayed! Can highly recommend the restaurant though.

Dinner at the resturant

The location of the hotel is very good, walking distance from the city center, from the beach and from the ferry to Vlissingen. The owner does everything and is a very friendly man. The hotel is very clean and the food in the restaurant is good. Also the breakfast is good.
Less point is that there is no elevator in the hotel and the stairs to the first floor are narrow and steep. This makes it difficult to get your luggage to your room. 
Since the owner does all the work in the restaurant, it sometimes takes a bit longer to get served in the restaurant.

I was able to charge my EV at the parking since they have a plug :-)

Splendid hotel for a short stay in a nice town at the beach

The first impression was a clean and silent hotel. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't accepted Credit/Debit cards so we had to go to the cash machine ( or pay a fee for credit card). The Room was ok with balcony for the cheap price. Breakfast was poor on choices. The manager was unfriendly we expected more customer friendly interactions. The location is very good -restaurants and beach are just a few hundred meters away. Now a days there are still hotels who charge for Wifi (2€/day) like Scalis 😔 All in one we enjoyed the area but we would rethink to go this hotel again...

Hotel 

A one man show, and somehow, he manages. Quiet and clean, good breakfast, comfortable room, pleasant garden, easy parking in front of the hotel. He also rented out bicycles for us at a good price, including a smaller one for our 10 year old son. Just don't expect this to be a 5 star hotel, because it isn't. The wifi signal is very weak inside the last room where we were staying although good enough in the tiny lobby and in the restaurant/breakfast hall. Maps and info are also on the scarce side. Better get your information beforehand or from a tourist info which is close by (but closed on Sunday...).  All in all a good no-nonsense hotel and a perfect base for our wonderful cycling holiday in Zeeland.

A good no-nonsense hotel

I stayed here for one night while on a cycling tour – a nice bath, good quality bed, friendly service and a garage for the bike made it perfect. Breakfast was enjoyable, but the real highlight was dinner the night of arrival: food made with love.

Perfect for my cycling trip

We stayed at hotel for 2 nights. The room was lovely and clean, the owners are friendly and helpful. I particularly liked the garden and the balcony. The hotel was in walking distance from the centre where lots of restaurants and coffee shops available and with 10 min walk you can reach an amazing sand coast.
