Positive points : Very silent, good mattress, 24h access.
Negative points : No real curtains on windows, room is full bright from 5:30 AM(if you wanted to sleep it will be difficult), You can't open the windows (no good for clostrophobic people), stairs are very "alpinistics" (you have to be very careful) and at last but not at least don't forget to ask for breakfast...
Owner could give you an order coupon.
Bit expensive for what we get.

good location but...

This B&B offers you good value for money. It is situated close to the centre of village De Koog, with lots of nice shops and restaurants (5 min walk). The residence itself is very quiet and close to a secondary path to the beach. Staff is very friendly, rooms clean and modern. Easy coming and going, and the porch is a nice plus, great for enjoying lazy Summer evenings. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent B&B, close to the beach

Arriving by car the first thing to be noticed is that the position of this accommodation  is absolutely strategic in town, placed on the street nearest to the seaside, just in front of the natural coastal woods. That means that in just a couple of minutes’ walk the sea is awaiting. Then comes the B&B itself, a very nice and traditional structure with a spacious side area for the “apartments”. Since we stayed both in the apartment and in the hotel room, we can tell that the whole structure is very clean and well cared for (almost as new).The bungalow/apartment we were in is big and well refined and the hotel room was cosy and with a nice view (and a kettle with a big box full of teas was waiting for us!). The area outside is welcoming and gives off a scent of happy family life, that is indeed the truth.
The De Winter family is the owner of this place and they run it with a precision and commitment superior even to the already high Dutch standard. I did not know them before, but they gave us a lot of nice suggestions and they were so friendly, always present when needed.
If you order it, you can get in your room/apartment a gorgeous breakfast at the time you prefer. Even I, that consider the breakfast my main meal on holidays, could not finish it all.
Wi-fi is free and if you need help the owners will help you with any service you might need (in case you don’t speak Dutch, like in my case).
Definitely a very nice stay that we will repeat next time we visit Holland.
