The hotel is of good standard, great sea view rooms and Robin in the reception must be the best receptionist we have ever met, that said the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered a Burger that was excellent but the pork was dry and the mixes fish grill was extremely dry and and not pleasant. The staff in the restaurant is sufficiently pleasant but not particularly. Shame as the hotel is a must stay.

This is a must stay in north Netherlands

Outstanding view, large rooms, great staff! This hotel sits on the very edge of the coast with a view of Texel Island. Near a bustling port area, but vibrant. Restaurant is great with outside terrace. Rooms are very comfortable and shower water pressure was very welcome 😁

Fantastic view

Great place to stay whilst biking the LF Kustrooute and right next to the Texel ferry. Friendly check in staff, secure bike storage and a nice early start to breakfast. I had an excellent room with a sea view across to Texel. or at least I would have had if the weather hadn't been awful but that's hardly the hotels fault! I'd definitely stay here again if I ride this section of coast again.

Great for the Texel ferry!

This is a must stop for anyone visiting the part of the world. The facilities are basic but done with taste. We were blessed with being given a room with sea view and we enjoyed sun rises and sunsets on the same day, this has no price. The outstanding element however is the service which is beyond 5 stars, always with a great smile and the most gentle of manners. A super well done.

Topping the world

The hotel appears to have been updated looking at the pictures on Trip Advisor. The view from the sea view side is magical looking towards Texel. Lots of sailing boats, fishing boats and the ferry to Texel to watch.  At night it was warm outside. The sea is so close that the waves could be heard going in and out - very relaxing way to go to sleep.

The hotel staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and updated. Not luxurious but not basic. Perfectly good for a mini break.

Dinner in the restaurant is really good with a good modern menu. The vegetarian curry was excellent.  The restaurant is modern with picture windows for amazing sea views. Also the terrace is fabulous with magical sea views. 

Breakfast is basic but good enough.

Great location for the ferry to Texel which is minutes away,  the coastal cycle path is on the door step, minutes from the Maritime Museum and a short walk to Den Helder. Free parking at the hotel.

I thoroughly recommend for a relaxing, calming break and the fabulous sea views. I would definately visit again.

Spent a lovely evening and night at this hotel 
Lovely rooms great food and drink and extremely helpful friendly staff
The drinks were great with a huge choice and the breakfast was basic but everything you need and great service

Overnight boat trip

Hotel was in a great location with sea views and coastline walking opportunities. The room was comfy and the bathroom very modern and clean, too top it off there was a great selection and tasty breakfast.

Fabulous location and super breakfast

Good hotel, clean, good food, friendly staff, good Wi-Fi, lovely (free) cappuccino in the lobby, beautiful view towards the sea and Texel. Very convenient for a visit to Texel and the navy museum (almost next door).

Ideal to leave the car at the parking, take the ferry as passenger only(€2.50 p.p. return) and rent a bike at arrival in Texel. Really great and convenient.

Good hotel, excellent location

We were fortunate with the weather during our stay.  Views over the North Sea to the Island of Texel. Fantastic to watch the Texel ferries from the hotel room. Lovely walks along the promenade. Basic breakfast. Rooms were clean. Lovely outside area.

Texel Ferry

I stayed here for one night because of cancelled helicopters. We arrived the hotel and check in went well. We went straight to the restaurant, where the food and service was really good.
After that I went to bed and slept like a dream. Nice and clean room in a nice hotel.
