Very nice hotel, nothing special, but clean, nice room, its sleeps well and great breakfast served for a reasonable price.\

Terrible. The customer service did nothing but put obstacles on our path, rude and highly unprofessional. You can not even order a beer at the bar without the bugbear giving you the  pain on your ass you deserve for being a tourist on Texell. Unless you speak Ducth, dont go, they will only tell you to go away.

Vacation

Hotel located 5 minutes away from the ferry crossing, in a small quiet village with restaurants and small supermarket nearby. Friendly and discreet staff. Very clean bedroom with comfy bed. Great choice of local fresh breads (including a delicious gingerbread and sugar/cinnamon) for breakfast with ample selection of local cheese and ham, cereals and yogourts, bacon and egg, and fresh fruit salad - all continuously refilled by watchful staff member. Free tea and coffee during the day.

Nice hotel with easy parking and good breakfast

We visited for a weekend business workshop (2 persons) and chose this hotel because of its central location. The personnel were extremely helpful and gave us tips for going around Texel island. Our corner suite was big enough (considering old architecture), clean, with good matrasses and a well-equipped bathroom. One of the most important amenities is a free own parking place. We could use the breakfast lounge for our work during teh day and enjoy complimentary coffee from a good espresso machine. Tip: the hotel offers 5% discount if you book directly from their site.

Centrally located, clean room, own free parking, extermely helpful personnel

Clean & ok. Very grumpy welcome (asked my clients if it was rudeness and they said yes).. same man in morning & the only member of staff. Mood hadn’t improved, didn’t say goodbye. Odd. Texel is lovely so why he was rude to his only 3 guests, who knows? And what’s with the load alarms on all the doors?? 

Poor

It's a nice enough hotel, I had a fairly functional room, there is a decent breakfast, including scrambled eggs and bacon. The staff are a bit absent so it has a rather impersonal feel to it. My main gripe is how noisy it is. I was in a ground-floor room and the noise from above was extraordinary. Doors being slammed every few minutes (why?) and people clumping up and down the stairs. The people in the room above me seemed to spend hours walking about very heavily with shoes on, I guess, and what sounded like moving the furniture around (unlikely). Why do people do this. It's not a vast presidential suite. Why not just settle in and watch tv like normal people. It is an old building but the noise is utterly waring. Like living under neighbours from hell.

Functional but noisy

We were on assignment on Texel for 4 days, so we stayed in Den Hoorn, a village in the south of Texel. We chose Hotel Op Diek, because it presents itself as a hotel and for us it was well situated close to the natural preserve close by. And it was reasonably priced, with an internet booking discount!
Our room was very small, but clean and practical, with a reasonably sized bed, a chair and a small desk to work at. Wifi was available in the room and was not too slow. 
Breakfast started at 8.30 which for us was a little late so we adapted. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. The patrons were correct, but not friendly or cordial. We stayed there for 4 nights, and had to check out before 10.30, rules of the house.
Too small in every sense for a hotel, not personal, hospitable or cordial enough for a bed and breakfast,  Hotel Op Diek disappointed us a bit, but the low price compensated for the lack of service and hospitability.
When presented with the check, the patron did not deduct the internet discount we were promised at booking, so watch out for this. We received a refund after the fact, so he corrected his mistake.
