The good:
- walking distance to city center
- free parking 
- good WiFi
- proper bed

The bad:
- mid summer this hotel is definitely the wrong choice!!!! 
- extremely hot rooms with no airco or fan
- windows open means you get to be woken up by passing trains 
- under staffed with young ladies taking it easy 
- very very basic rooms for that price 
- empty mini bar
- breakfast room service not possible  
- lower class hotel not matching that price point

Made my reservation through Booking.com with breakfast. At checking in they charged me breakfast as an extra. I had to show my
Booking and still they did not believe me I booked including breakfast. The restaurant is very outdated, cold and poor decorated. Also the food was tasteless, I ordered duck filet. The luxury room was basic with an outdated bathroom. The air vents in the windows could not be closed since they were broken. Pretty noisy with intense traffic. The heating radiator could not be regulated since it had not a thermostat.

Another good experience with this hotel, good place for travel, 8 minutes far from the Emmen terrain centre, I'll get back here if I need. 
Room cleaned and receptionists very available and professional. 


Business trip pt. 2

Ok hotel, simple, nothing specials and as for the rating I wouldn’t go as high as three stars. Anyways, if you happen to be a early riser,
I think you’re better off elsewhere. You can take the elevator down and than you’re trapped.
No seating, restroom, no chance on coffee, just a corridor with locked doors. According to the night watch this is for your safety, we are talking about Emmen, a village in a rural part of the Netherlands where the most exciting thing they have is a zoo!!!! If there is something I hate,
It’s hotels who treats their guests like prisoners!!!! Never again!

If you wake up early, don’t feel trapped 

business trip in Emmen. Good structure, clean rooms, good restaurant to make both breakfast and lunch and also dinner.
IT is Ideal for business trips. 
Helpful and qualified staff.
I think I will return.

When we arrived in our room we noticed an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. We asked straight away for another room. The person behind the desk told me they were sold out but as we checked in at three (checking in time), not everybody had checked in yet. We told him we were Fletcher members, finally he switched us to another room that at least didn’t smell. Next morning the breakfast was very disapointing. Poor selection of meat and cheese, no fruit except a mixture in a bowl that was already empty at 8.20! Scrambled eggs were nearly finished, bacon cold. And above all not very friendly staff that morning. They did not remove the dirty plates. Elevator takes you to the 1,2,3 floor yet can’t be called to the 2,3 floor. They call it a four starr hotel but to my opinion its just a three star hotel.

Dated hotel, poor breakfast selection

This hotel is very dated and needs a lot of tender loving care. Lift went to the 3rd floor but we could not call it from the 3rd floor. Paper cups in the room. Also the breakfast was very poor for 13 euro’s. The rooms were very basic. Bedden were too soft for my back.
