I'll start with the positive side, great location, nice restaurants next door, and a nice apartment.

On the negative side, I guess due to all the good reviews, none of you got to actually talk to the host, maybe.
I requested to talk to her and when she came I asked why we can't cook? since there is a stove.
She replied to me that in Booking it doesn't say there is one, I then said I understand it was my mistake, she didn't let me finish and stated that she is happy to hear and that I should have read the ad better!
Not only that I felt bad for my family for my error I was also shamed and embarrassed by the host when she stated it so rudely in front of them.

I understand that in Giethoorn you make enough money in the summer traffic that you can easily treat your winter guests in an ill manner.

To sum up: the place is good, but the host should treat her paying customers with respect.

Our family absolutely loved our stay at B&B De Galeriet.  We had the entire upstairs where our children slept.  We loved the individual beds with the doors, we will incorporate that into our forever home someday.   My husband and I and youngest stayed downstairs, which had ample space and a kitchen.  It was perfect!  The breakfast in the main dining area was fabulous!  The couple was so nice.  We have recommended this bed and breakfast to our friends.

Tranquil home right on the canal

I came here with my husband and 2 children, it's a perfect place, super clean and homey. Alwin was so friendly, we're enjoying his place. The place consist of two bedroom, kitchen with microwave, coffee and tea maker, 1 bathroom and 2 toilet. I can sleep well after long time flight. My children love this place because this place had puzzle and others to play with. 
Our breakfast ready right on time, and it's delicious. 
Giethoorn is a quiet place, i think you have to visite this village when you coming to Netherland. 

Nice and quiet place

Our stay in De Galerie was truly amazing. We had a very peaceful and romantic atmosphere. We felt like the whole word stopped for the two days we spent in Giethoorn. The room was spacious, clean, cozy and big. It is possible to take a bath, make some tea use basic kitchen utilities. The calm atmosphere allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our weekend-off.  The owners are a friendly couple, who has helped us a great deal and told us a lot of about the history of this lovely village. 
The delicious breakfast could bear the name breakfast of the champions, it was very tasty and it filled us up for the whole day. Definitely recommended! :)

Relaxing weekend

Very friendly owners, lovely clean room with a comfy bed. Excellent breakfast, would highly recommend staying here. Perfect location on the canal, parking nearby. The apartment even had its own kitchen if self-catering is your thing. 

Lovely B&B

First impresion in my head - "Great Location!" 

You are right near the water and this is the main attraction in Giethorn. Room was spacious and we had everything what we need - wi-fi, good bed and pillows and breakfast. Btw, there are 2 great restaurants just next door to this hotel.

The hotel owner grumbled when we arrived. We arrived late, arround 8-9 oclock! The owner was telling us that we were lucky he still was at the Hotel. It was strange to hear that, as the guy lives in the same building. Anyway, keep this in mind if you plan to come late - you should warn the Owner.
