Staying at this country inn was a warm and very enjoyable experience.  My room had all of the basics and was spotlessly clean.  The breakfasts were just perfect - fresh fruit, juice, egg an yogurt, with breads,  meats and cheese.  The coffee was was the best.  
Then, there was the restaurant.  It was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season.  The food was excellent.  I had pork that was perfectly cooked, as were all of the sides.  Of particular note was the service - attentive, helpful but not intrusive.  This was better service and food than in most 5 star restaurants.
My thanks and compliments to the management and staff for their hospitality.  I had a wonderful stay.  My only complaint is that I could not have stayed longer.

Warm hospitality

I recently had dinner with the family for my father's birthday. I knew the place when it belonged to the previous owner, but the new owners have refurbished it very nicely and given it a contemporary look. The staff and owner are incredibly welcoming and very attentive in service. There are nice dishes on the menu, whether you want to go for fish or meat. I had as a starter the Vitello Tonnato, consisting of Veal fricandeau, tuna tataki, tuna mayonnaise, and capers. A delicious combination and very tasty. I can't say other than that this food cafe is an excellent place to chat while enjoying a bite and a drink.

Friendly and welcoming food cafe

We have stayed here for only one night, while doing a 2-day walking trip (NS). We had the biggest room (suite), which has a private bathroom and a cosy sitting area. Bed was comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was good as was the breakfast next morning. Friendly staff so all in all a very nice experience.

Fine for one night's stay 

We spent 1 night here because we were meeting friends who were at the campsite close by, and we all visited the Groesbeekse Wijnfeesten.
Got the last room which was very basic, sharing a toilet and shower with 7 other rooms.
The better rooms had unfortunately all been taken by others.
All in all the place is somewhat dated and could do with a bit of modernization, but the center of Groesbeek is walking distance, and so are the Liberation Museum and the Canadian War Cemetery..
The beds were ok, the staff was friendly and a good breakfast was provided, all for a reasonable price.
All in all, not bad, but not special either

Simple guest house with basic rooms

So overall it was pretty clean and I do not have anything negative to say.  Some rooms had bathrooms in them, and some rooms shared bathrooms that were located in the hallway.  The set of stair we climbed to get upstairs was very steep and an older person or person with a disability would have trouble, especially with any bags.

Again, the place was adequate and clean.  The bar tenders at the restaurant were very nice.

Stayed there are part of a group

This quirky bar/restaurant is absolutely fantastic, owned and run by the same lady for 20+ years it's a great place to visit, so friendly and obliging, even a bowl of free,(yes free) from a lovely bunch of people, a must visit
