Great value for money. Excellent location in the city centre, good beds, good shower with lots of water pressure and very clean. A bit outdated but price and location make up for it. Only negative is that there is no lift and the staircase is rather steep.

Very good value for money

This guesthouse is situated above a pub in an otherwise usually reasonably quiet residential street in the city centre of Groningen, just a 7 minutes walk from the main Railway station. Rooms vary in size, some have a private bathroom, others have not, but all are equipped with a microwave and an electric kettle. This is a traditional city centre house, with steep stairs (no rooms at ground level, no lift) and some original details (wooden doors, toilets). If you want all the modern mod cons: don't go there. For everyone else: this is a good place to spend a few nights, quite inexpensive, friendly, full of atmosphere.

Guesthouse in the centre of Groningen

Very good location in Groningen, close to the railway station and city center. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed.

To access the room one needs to take some very steep stairs and there is no elevator.

Good for a short stay in Groningen

Have stayed there for a night during business visit. The place itself is an average budget accommodation, but clean and just what ypu neeed with friendly reception. Was just a bit nervous of the long steep stairs but thats Holland :) What is superb is the location - 5 minutes of the main train station and 5 minutes of the main square. Just perfect for a trip like this! And tons of pubs/restaurants in the vicinity.

Very nice location, budget accommodation

The pension is very very basic, tired, and dirty looking. It is clean just looks unclean. Beds are very uncomfortable and have a distinct hospital like feel. The stairs leading up to the rooms are a nightmare. Location is absolutely central right behind the red light district. (50 m)

 The pub it is connected to is all right, food is very good for the price, service is ok. So eating drinkig yes, accomodation no.

Very basic, avoid it.

The place is clean and pretty cheap for its location. My room with a shared hallway bathroom was better than expected as the shared bathroom was single occupancy and allowed for a great deal of privacy. The one negative side was that the place advertised accepting credit cards online but did not. Additionally my boyfriend and I were given a room with 2 separate beds that could not be connected and the staff would not accommodate us in anyway. 

Decent and cheap

Stayed here for 4 night, wouldn't go again.
Every time I'd turn in my sleep I woke myself up because of the horrible noise the bed makes, and the beds aren't really comfortable either. The room got really hot and to be able to air it out we needed to keep the door open as well. The main light in the room wasn't working.
Shower was quite roomy and close to the room, and the toilet wasn't too far from the room either. They were both quite clean.
In pretty sure the room key was a master key, because there were no specific holes or dents in it. There's no safe in the room either, so we didn't want to leave our valuables in the room.
