I had an amazing time at this lovely hotel. The staff was super friendly. They made me feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast buffet consisted of locally produced products, including yogurt, fruit, bread, cheese and meat. My single room was perfect. The bed was very comfortable and there was an extra sink. I fully recommend staying at this hotel. I was sad to leave.

Fantastic hotel, delicious breakfast, super friendly staff

Good breakfasts, lovely garden - very central (Not called Midsland for nothing) Great restaurants around the corner. Room was a bit small, and be prepared to share a bathroom with a few other rooms -  was not a problem though - we never had to queue. Also be prepared to make your own bed. We were there for 5 days -   and although the room bins were cleaned nothing else was done. Rather  also book through  their  web site than though e.g. bookings.com - as they list their best rooms only on their web site

Central place to chill on the Vriesen islands

Wonderful breakfasts, very good room and Peter and Jan are very kind and helpful. Had a very good stay and would easily come back to stay here again. HIre a bicycle and travel round the island wonderful beaches and bird life.
Midland has good places to eat and everybody is very friendly.

Excellent B and B

We stayed in a garden house detached from the main house, which was private and quiet. Everything there is well thought out, from beautiful landscaping, automatic night lighting along the walkways, individual private terraces with lavender and rose, coffee and tea available in the rooms, and, highly important in the modern world: good wi-fi. The tiny bungalow was surprisingly large for what it is. Instead of cramming as many of these houses on their property as possible, they opted for spacious and well designed houses that mix modern comfort with traditional Dutch style elements, such as open beam ceilings and rich green wood siding.  I could go on for a long time about how well they thought this out and all the little details, but I'll leave it at: this is just perfect.

Breakfast was lovely with a fresh variety of cheeses, breads, fruit salad, yogurt, etc. They make a darn good soft boiled egg.

The mattresses were high quality and extra long, perfect for my husband who is 1 meter 94.  It was far too soft for my preferences, but my husband was extremely comfortable, and I really just prefer a mattress that is as hard as a wood floor, so there's that.  The bungalow we booked had two twin beds, but Jan didn't mind a bit when I asked if we could push them together as one bed.

Both Jan and Peter are pleasant and helpful without being invasive.  They were very accommodating when we contacted them that we had to arrive later than planned because travel arrangements hadn't worked out as planned.

The location is right around the corner from shopping and restaurants, and being in Midsland it is an easy cycle to both the eastern and western ends of the island.

We will definitely return in a few years!
