While the rooms are small (as shown in the pictures provided by the b&b) they are elegantly appointed and perfectly located above an amazing little chocolates and cake dessert shop called the The Vermeer. And all this located within walking distance from the most photographed site in the world, the Keukenhof - it doesn’t get any better. Host Robin goes way out of his way to be helpful and was especially helpful to me, as relating to me being partially sighted. The nearby Chinese restaurant he sent me to, run by a wonderful family, had excellent high end Chinese food, but at a moderate price. I would go back and definitely recommend that others try this great experience! 

Elegantly appointed above awesome little bakery 

We booked this B&B based on the excellent reviews below but somehow fail to see that bit extra that would make it excellent. 
The room was clean and comfortable but a little on the small side. There was a small area around the bed, some of which means you are standing right in front of the windows overlooking one of the main street. There is a tiny table by the door at which you can eat your breakfast.
The bathroom was good and clean. 
The location was very good for touring the area and walking to the Keukenhof gardens. The town of Lisse has many good eating places but beware the proprietor's recommendations - they are all expensive and not all great. We were greeted him on arrival but never saw him again.
The access stairs. There should be a warning about these on any publicity for the B&B. I know Dutch staircases in older properties tend to be steep but anyone with an infirmity would not be able to access either bedroom. See photos
The charge for breakfast per head is 12 euros which seems expensive for what it is. 
If breakfast is ordered in the other room for 7.00 a.m. you cannot help but be woken by the arrival of it and the loud conversation that takes place at the same time right outside your door. We were woken on two consecutive mornings and there seemed to be no consideration for the fact they were disturbing other guests.
So yes, adequate, clean accommodation in a convenient spot for touring the area but has it the extra that makes it excellent? I don't think it has - after all, the expensive pastries downstairs don't come as part of the B&B!!
