I stayed at B&B Alberti for 4 nights while visiting Maastricht to participate in the Ironman Triathlon. I chose the accommodation based on Tripadvisor reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. 

If I could give this 6 stars instead of 5 I would. Ingrid and Rense (I hope I have spelled this correctly) are wonderful hosts. They are genuinely friendly, helpful and kind. It was a pleasure to meet them. When I completed my race they left me a message saying congratulations and left a beer in the fridge for me. Such a kind and lovely thing to do. I didn’t receive the message until the next day as my phone was off so I didn’t drink it, but that they’d even thought of it was a lovely touch. 

The room was clean and cool even in the 34 degree heat. The facilities were great and the location is perfect. It is located 15 minutes walk from the city centre in a lovely neighbourhood with shops and restaurants nearby. However you needn’t walk into the city because Ingrid will loan you one of her many bikes to go into the city. I did this several times and it was great to take in the fresh air and see the views over the Maas River. 

Maastricht is a beautiful small city. It’s a great location for cycling and running as there is plenty of beautiful countryside nearby. I highly recommend the city for any potential visitors. The Ironman event was incredible, the support was out of this world and I will never forget the wonderful atmosphere. 

So I highly recommend Maastricht and B&B Alberti. You may get more luxury from an expensive hotel, but you won’t get such a nice experience as staying in such a well run and well kept guest house. 

I will definitely visit again! 

Visit to Maastricht for the Ironman - 5 Stars is not Enough!

B&B Alberti is located in a very good/peaceful/high end neighborhood of Maastricht. It is close to the city centre (walking distance +/- 15 min) and in the street there are parking spaces. The owner, Ingrid, was very kind and informative. She has 2 rooms on the upper level of her beautiful home which she rents out. The room looked better than on the pictures as listed on her website. It was a cosy and clean room with comfortable beds, beautiful real wooden floor, unique Chinese closet, flatscreen tv, desk and 2 chairs, perfect working Wi-Fi and on the beds a total of 4 pillows (really comfortable). The room has an own bathroom provided with towels, kettle, coffee machine, cups, glasses, plates, bowls and cuttlery. The interior of the room was a mixture of modern and antique, I personally loved it. Would I return to B&B Alberti? Would I recommend it to friends and family? YES.

Cosy B&B near the city centre!

This is the 5th time we have stayed at this B&B and as always it was an excellent stay. The bed is so comfortable and the room always spotless clean, convenient to walk to town, bakery around the corner, post office and grocery store.   Coffee pot and water pot in the room, with condiments in the pantry.  The hosts are welcoming and we always have a chat to renew what has been going on with each other's family. We would not stay anywhere else.

Another Great Stay

Very clean , new rooms on level 3, so large luggage difficult.
No breakfast, but pantry has microwave , frig, tea , coffee, soup, cutlery and dishes.
15 minute walk to Vijthof square and 10 minute walk to Andre Rieu's Chateau.
Best dinner we have ever had at restaurant 2 minutes walk on corner of their street.
Supermarket 5 minutes away, but neither it or Alberti's take credit cards!!!
Parking in street at 6eu/day or 1.8 eu/hr from 8am til 7 pm !
Very obliging hosts!

Bed & bike, no breakfast

The hosts are incredible and the room is really comfortable! Also, the fact that you can use their bikes to go to downtown Maastricht is a big plus!

In my opinion, the only thing that can be improved is that the room is not cleaned during your stay, so if you stay for a long period you'll probably have a lot of thrash at the trash can.
