Midwolda

Between the border with Germany and Groningen is the small village of Midwolda. We arrived around 4 p.m. and had to call first, since the reception was not occupied. It is then the same to pay for the stay. On the second floor over a narrow staircase you go to the trail with the different rooms - like in a boarding house. There were two toilets and two showers for all guests as a daylight facility - all clean and without daylight. The community room was with roofs. Good TV with various (also German) channels. The beds were too soft. For this reason we would not recommend this or return to the house.

Much easier than expected

The service was really great and I got a friendly welcoming. They helped me to have the room longer than 11am which I appreciated. The room was big with a lot of space, with not longer than 100meter to the water. And the beds were awsome. Comfortable and spacious.The only thing that was less good were that it was a littlebit cold on the floor now in the spring season, but that was not a big issue in my opinion. I just had a pair of socks on!

Stayed in the group accommodation section with the entire family for a weekend. The setup is nice with small wooden chalets as bedrooms. Unfortunately there was an odd odor in our cabin. 

Overall the setup is nice and there is plenty of room for outdoor activities. There were a lot of signs everywhere about things which were not allowed (e.g. no chairs on the grass, don't move the furniture outside, don't pour this/that through the sink). Also the big doors to the terrace were locked with a heavy duty padlock. This gave me an unwelcome feeling.

While we had rented the accommodation, the owner had a couple of viewings with potential new guests around to show the accommodation. Of course that's his right, but we we're not informed of this.

We stayed in this b&b in midwolda, Niederlande after arrving from zweden. staff was very welcoming and friendly. the environment was fantastic. The breakfast in the morning was also good. i would defintly come back.

In the very neat village of Midwolda I stayed two nights in the former farhouse Blauwestadhoeve.
As other farms in the area the living quarters adjoin the main fafrm building, which has here been made to accommodate the group rooms, small chalets under the immense main roof.
My private room (with shared bath) was neat and clean, facing the garden. The breakfast consisted of various types of bread with meat, cheese and jam. It was fresh and tasty.
The nearby town of Winschoten offers a variety of restaurants.
