Hotel Konbanwa 

We stayed at this hotel during a 2 day military history tour that my husband booked. The hotel has a lot of World War II history, but it was also very spacious, clean, and quiet. I am not sure how much the hotel room cost because it was part of the tour but a continental breakfast was included. If you are staying in Nijmegen, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Now for my review of the restaurant. Without a car and any other choices, we had to eat at this restaurant. The food was good but the whole process on how to order, when you can order, and during what time frame was an unwelcome production after a long day on a tour. I would have rather ordered one dish off the menu, for a smaller price, a glass of wine and called it a night. However, that is not how they do things at this restaurant and we ended up spending well over 90 minutes here. They kept saying they would help you figure out how and when to order and then left you there to figure it out on your own. We were given the price of 27.5 Euro per person, which I thought was very expensive but again we had no choice if we wanted to eat, and given a menu we were told we could order from. When I asked why some of the sushi had prices next to the picture when I thought the meal was all inclusive and all one price, the waitress told me there would not be an extra charge, so I ordered some sushi off the selection with prices listed. Imagine my surprise when I got the bill and it was extra. I took it up with the manager at the register who promptly removed the charge. As I mentioned, the food was very good, but we were told you had to eat it all or would be charged for it. We never found out what that meant because we did not waste our food but it sounded like a threat a parent would make to their small child! Maybe if I had willingly chose this restaurant and was aware of the price and ordering process before hand, it would probably make for a great dinner with friends but not after an all day tour.
