Lovely guesthouse, with very friendly and accommodating staff. I had a very big room with strong wifi so I could do a webinar from there comfortably. The breakfast is good and the bed lined was high quality. The place is in a nice town square which is very pretty, and you really get the personal and friendly touch when staying there. I can’t imagine there’s better if you’re staying in the area. 

I liked the chocolate sprinkles on toast and the manager gave me some to take with me, which was really kind!

Fabulous 4 nights at this super friendly and very personal hotel.all the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to please.lovely room with very comfy bed and pillow.great shower.breakfast was amazing. highly recommend and we will certainly return.

Fabulous very friendly hotel in centre of the village.

A lovely bijou hotel in the centre of Noordwijkerhout.
My wife and I stayed for 6 days, and nothing was too much trouble for the brilliant staff.
Breakfast was as good, if not better, than most of the 5* hotels we have stayed in.
We were asked if we had any special requests for breakfast, and, sure enough, next day, we had croissants and liverwurst supplied. An indication of the restaurant's popularity is, every night, even Tuesday, the dining room was catering to 20 or 30 customers.
Our room was spacious, warm and very comfortable. The bathroom was big, and well lit. (Very important for we, wet shaving men!)
Plenty of storage space and most comfortable beds.
We would thoroughly recommend Het Wapen van Noordwijkerhout for it's location, and the personal service supplied.

Wonderful

Lovely room, though a little cold, the radiator is placed under the window and the heat seemed to go right out. Nice big bathroom and shower.
Charming staff and the breakfast was excellent, cooked breakfast is available too. Marvellous coffee.
My only real criticism would be the lack of noise insulation. The bell, from the church on the square, was not a problem but the hotel itself was pretty noisy, both late at night and then again in the early morning.

Charming hotel.

Top quality tasty food. We stayed in the hotel and the breakfast was so good we guessed the restaurant would be good also. It certainly didn't disappoint . The restaurant decor is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were also extremely friendly. 

Real Food !

I absolutely loved this hotel. The hotel reflects the feel of the village - it is quaint and cozy. Our room was rather spacious and our private bath was larger than the one we had in Amsterdam. The absolute only reason for "very good" rather than "excellent" rating is because the room didn't have air conditioning (my husband and I are cold sleepers) and the stairways are rather narrow so it was a little difficult dealing with our larger luggage pieces. Finally, the beds were a lower and on the short side (I realize this is not uncommon in Europe) but my husband is 6"4 and his feet hung off the bottom (which was actually super funny) because the bed was too small for him. 

The staff at the restaurant was amazing. I have Celiac Disease and require a specific diet or I will be severely ill. The staff was notified, and for breakfast had blocked off a specific area at our table just for gluten free items so they would not get cross-contaminated. That was a level of detail in service that I have rarely experienced anywhere, let alone in a quiet village. I was very grateful for the care they took to keep me safe.

Adorable

We had the set menu, so I chose fish.
Starter was Salmon tartare, which had a very strong taste. I saw that mu sister-in-law did not finish hers also.
Main-course was Sole rolled up around sliced veggies. It was steamed together with more vegetables, the sole must have been steamed to long, it was tasteless.
The 2 sauces didn't help much either.
Desert was petit grand desert (what's in a name), which was petit.

Don't try the fish

We went there recently with friends who now live in Noordvykerhout as UK ex-pats. We had a wonderful meal in a brilliant atmosphere, the staff were very friendly. It was our second visit but I don't think it will be our last! Well recommended!

First Class

My wife and I are living in Noordwijkerhout and we have been to this restaurant many times. We have regular visitors from the UK and we always take them here, and they absolutely love it, and always want to go back. The food, service and ambiance of the restaurant are fantastic making this the best value for money restaurant in the area. We have tried almost all the dishes on the menu and you can be assured that whatever your selection you will not be disappointed. The menu has a great selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, being traditional Dutch and also some Asian style offerings. On a lovely day it is great to sit outside in the village square and watch the world go by. I hope you find this review useful.
