We have had our fair share of B&B's domestic as well as abroad. This is excellence in every aspect!! Beautifull location, pleasant but not too present hosts, very well equiped, very good beds and immaculately clean. A gem! Very recommanded!!

Lovely large double room in a lovely thatched building, in lovely gardens and grounds. Highly Recommend. Annemarie & Jelke very friendly and helpful hosts, they gave us cycling routes to follow, tips on places to see, and places to eat. Breakfast was great, fruit, youghurt, croissants, cheeses, meats, rolls, eggs - all served either in our room (we had our own table and chairs in the room, pretty much a mini-suite) or served outside in the lovely gardens. And Norg is a charming little thatched village in the middle of lovely countryside. Top marks.

2 Day cycling chill-out

This Bed and breakfast is located in the north of the Netherlands, not far from Groningen and Assen. It is a fully refurbished listed farmhouse from the outside, but from the inside it is a modern and very comfortable Hotel. We stayed in the small apartment, that has a livingroom and kitchen area, as well as a master bedroom with walk in closet and fully equipped bathroom. Breakfast is big and full of choice, unfortunately served in the room, since the weather did not permit to enjoy it on the terrace next to the beautiful poolside.
This is a great place to stop by on a journey, or a great place to hang out for a few days and to explore the northern part of the Netherlands.
Needless to say the owners put a lot of love and devotion in their property, as they do in pampering their guests.

Advice: do bring your  GPS for a seamless drive to Esweg 25 in the Norg village.

Tranquillity and luxury in 1.

My husband and I recently stayed at the lovely B&B Erfgoedlogies de Eshof for three nights.  We were on an independent driving trip through The Netherlands and Belgium.  We wanted to see the north part of the Netherlands and we wanted a quiet place in the countryside to see more of the life of the people outside of Amsterdam. We stayed in the Heerenkamer (Gentlemen's Room) on the Ground floor, which was beautifully restored, with a large living and dining area, nice kitchenette, and a very cozy bedroom. The bathroom was modern with a walk-in shower. Everything was immaculate.  The breakfasts were amazing with fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, pastries, breads of all kinds, eggs, and were delivered to our "apartment" at the time of our choice.  We had a wonderful wood burning fireplace which we kept going most of the time while we were there because it was April and still a bit chilly. Annemarie and her husband made sure we had lots of wood, information about places to visit in the area, and made our stay really comfortable. The grounds are lovely.  Flowers are everywhere and it is so peaceful here. It was too cold to swim yet but we thought what a wonderful place to come to in the summer.  We walked everywhere and had some lovely meals nearby in the village.

A PASTORAL RETREAT FOR THE SOUL IN NORTHERN HOLLAND

We stayed in the Heerenkamer over the Easter break and had a pleasant stay. Annemarie and her husband are well-seasoned hosts and made us feel at home in their B&B. We really enjoyed the privacy.
The apartment was very comfortable, quiet and had a lovely view of the gardens. It was warm and cosy and had enough furniture and kitchen utensils for four people. Breakfast was served in our living room at an agreed time which was a luxury. The bathroom had soap, shower gel and shampoo dispensers. What a treat!
Perhaps the owners might consider having curtains or blinds that black out the early morning sun. We were up fairly early because of the daylight penetrating the windows in the master bedroom. This was not an issue for the two self-enclosed beds (bedstee) in the living room.
Also, while the WiFi had excellent coverage, I wasn't able to use my mobile phone on several occasions because the reception was under par.
These are small grievances and we would definitely come here again.
