No. Old and dirty room. Very small bathroom, but just that it can't move. There is no air conditioning and it's hot. To climb you have to climb a ramp of stairs that say steep is to say little. Tents don't get at least dark, at 6 am it's already lit during the day. In general it gives just the idea of neglect and little attention. Parking in front of the structure. Very good and abundant breakfast. I would probably go back to Texel and stay in De Koog.

It's not worth it.

This is a nice and cosy place with spaceous rooms and professional staff. The rooms are clean, affordable and have a nice view with a little balcony. It is all one needs for a little getaway. The breakfast is okay, but could have been a little bit more choice in warm dishes (perhaps due to Corona regulations it had to be changed).

A very friendly and good spot to start your Texel adventure

Yes our room was small. No matter, the view off the balcony was wonderful. This old mariner loved watching the boats and ships pass by. The room was comfortable, warm and very clean. As one might expect of an old ferry terminal and hotel, there are many stairways with small ups and downs; and some steep grades . Those folks with stair issues are warned away. If you are willing to overlook the stair climbing, you can expect a warm welcome from a friendly, helpful staff. Dinner was amazing!

Small room, wonderful people, fabulous vistas!

We wanted a snack, but the restaurant was fine for potatoes and cola, the service was hard and the prices were more island prices than moderate, and I wanted to give two points, but when I was told to take my son's diaper back after wrapping it and throw it out, I didn't think it was enough anymore.

Actually, two stars...

We stayed in room ‘Dijk’. Staff was friendly. We got quite some information about Texel including a cycling map. Breakfast was tasty. Nice terrace in front of the hotel. As the name mentions already, the hotel is located in the harbor, which makes it a great location. The building is the former head office of the ferry company TESO.

Characteristic hotel

We've spent one night in January in this small harbour hotel. The room was very comfort and nice. With the comfort I have no complaints, my remark goes to the restaurant. We were looking forward to have dinner as it was adverted to have a great and fresh fish food. On their web page stands that they offer 4 course menu for 25,75 Eur, but that wasn't true. After my remark the house lady told me that this menu will (?!) be available from February To be honest it was a very poor dinner but expensive. So my recommendation, take only a room and no dinner.

Nice hotel, wonderful view, poor restaurant

Great reception, room with a dangerous spike just above the head, coffee facilities okay, cannochial available but hidden in the room, dinner, good breakfast, recommended.

He deserves a stop.

We had a nice evening meal here with a mix of vegetarian and non-veggies in our group. We had a warm welcome, the food was good and the serving staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good views over the harbour and we enjoyed watching a number of big ships arriving as we ate. The menu was a bit pricey at around 20 euros for a main course but we enjoyed our visit very much 😊👍

It was a lovely experience in this very simple and lovely hotel, far from the hustle and bustle, a warm welcome from the hostess and a lovely, recently renovated room with direct views of the harbor, and to top it all off, a delicious monthly menu at a very sweet price.

Room with a view

We spent a long weekend here and felt good. But we weren't too excited about the hotel either. There's something strange about the parking lot of the harbor, in winter there's nothing going on here. Even the hotel business was running on fire when it came to service, restaurant and room cleaning. Luckily we got the largest room, the panorama room, so you could hold it well in the room even in the wind and cold. However, you shouldn't imagine the panorama too big either. You can only see the harbor limited by very flat roof windows. But bed! short, the stay is fine, but not. By the way, the narrowest stairs should avoid problems because of the steep stairs.
